This laptop died w/in 30 days of receipt. I contacted both Newegg & the seller when this happened. I got no response.

I would never buy refurbished ever again. It was a total waste of our money!

I gave them 1 egg rating. I would have given zero eggs if that was available.

I received a buggy laptop. Requested return still have not heard back......this was a bad purchase

Rating + 1 Careful, they ship dead batteries

My battery came in dead, and the paper work stated "no guarantee that battery holds a charge.

But on the website listing on Newegg they simply stated that batteries are not warranted.

Rating + 3 Not what I expected

My story is simple. The company advertised a computer with specific specifications. The company sent me a computer with slightly different specs than advertised. I contacted the company and settled on upgrading the RAM to what was advertised. The processor could not be changed but is still sufficient for my needs. Overall I am happy with the product ZOOMUSA built. It is an awesome machine. 3 Stars for sending a machine all across the country that was not built per the advertised spec.

Rating + 1 Basically Zero Customer Support

After receiving the laptop, I was dismayed to get a "Non-System disk or disk error" message. I called ZoomUSA and got an automated message to send an email for support.

I sent an email outlining the problem and asking for advice.

I received the following response, word for word: "Order number? is there a cd in the cd drive?"

I replied with the requested information and indicated that there was no cd in the drive. That was February 4. As of today (February 20) I have received no further response from ZoomUSA.

Being a curious fella, I took a tiny screwdriver to the "DriveGuard" plate on the bottom of the laptop to discover the hard drive had come loose from its port. I pushed the hard drive in, and the laptop works fine now.

It seems that having to perform maintenance such as this on a refurbished, but functioning device should not be necessary and the company needs to work on its customer support response time.

Rating + 1 Product not what advertised, dishonest seller

I was promised a laptop with 3gb ram, this laptop only has 2 gb ram, and the battery doesn't even work.The power supply included wtih the laptop is a dell power supply even though an hp laptop was ordered. Email address the seller gives is invalid.
Definitely going to try and contact BBB over this one.

I would recomend NEVER buying a computer from this seller. I paid for expedited shipping, but the package didn't arrive for WEEKS, and I ended up having to buy a different computer at Best Buy because I needed it by a certain deadline. Then, when I tried to get a refund, the computer suddenly appeared at the doorstep, well beyond the date I needed it to be there to go overseas with an employee. When we sent it back (at our own cost, no less), the package was delivered and confirmed, but we didn't receive a refund and I had to call Newegg customer service to get the issue resolved. I'm still waiting for my refund (also, I was going to be charged a "restocking fee" till Newegg credited it to me). A ridiculous experience. The seller has been unresponsive to me and to Newegg throughout this ordeal. (would have given this zero eggs instead of 1, but the system wouldn't let me.

Newegg, you DROPPED THE BALL on this one.
the item advertised was nothing near what was sent out. the computer battery was dead on arrival and will not take a charge , no wireless card was in the computer so no internet access. After three calls I finally reached someone who stated that this would be corrected. It's been two weeks, nothin yet? Any items from this vendor should be avoided. The next time that I just want to take chances with my money , I'll try lottery tickets.
With me, ZoomUSA has put a blot on the Newegg name

RMA Policy
    ZoomUSA provides a 60 day limited warranty on all products we sell, unless otherwise noted on original description of product. This warranty includes any hardware defects and EXCLUDES any software issues, neglect, or unauthorized repair. In addition we do not test laptop batteries therefore battery life will not be covered by any warranty unless otherwise noted on original description of product. The warranty date will start from the time your item has been invoiced. We will offer refunds only within the first 30 days of receipt. Under no circumstance will the original shipping charges be refunded. Buyer is responsible for return shipping. If you choose to return your item instead of using your warranty for repair or replacement you may be subject to a restocking fee. Any buyer remorse returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee,and shipping fees.
RMA instructions
    1. Log onto your account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
