After a week of "SHIPPED" status seller stated that has "non in stock". Had to cancel order. Outrages practice.

Rating + 1 Do yourself a big favor and pass on this seller

I'll make a VERY long story as short as possible here. Ordered a measly $12 camera remote, received an item 3 days later...awesome huh? (Not)..sent me a selfie stick. I contacted new egg CS and was not impressed with the fact that I was told they had "no control" because it was a marketplace seller...really newegg?

I asked how to know if I was buying from a "marketplace" seller in the future (because I won't) and was told (and I quote) "For your reference, the Newegg item number usually begins with N82E168. If not, it might be a Marketplace item that is sold and shipped by the seller."

It "might" be? Well imo if you're going to be that vague then stand behind your "marketplace" sellers and do something about it if there's an issue. I'm willing to bet I've easily spent over $5,000 over the past few years and this is the service I get?

Regardless, two days after requesting RMA seller contacts me and wants pics of the item I received, so I sent them...Okay, now that you know I'm not a liar and trying to get you for 12 bucks what now? They tell me they can send me the item I ordered and I can keep the selfie stick. Oh boy! You can imagine where I wanted the selfie stick to go and told them I was throwing it in the trash and to send the item I ordered. 2 weeks later, no item, I contacted patazon asking where my item was and for a tracking number and was told "oh sorry, UPS lost the item". Yeah right lol..I was given the option of a refund or they could ship another imaginary shipment..I opted for the refund. I checked afterwards and they have the item listed as out of stock. Just tell me that to begin with..don't throw a selfie stick in the box and call it good smh.

Newegg is a gamble like the popular auction sites nowadays. If you choose to buy from this seller I wish you the best of luck. You're probably going to need it. And as for newegg customer guys should be ashamed.
