5 out of 5 eggsTurned out great

Pros: Really rather a pleasant first time experience.

Details on build in other notes.

Extremely satisfied with my selections, and I blame that mostly on the amount of researching I did. I was thorough in looking at the available GPUs, as well as the CPU/Motherboard combos, and selected those that would work best for me. DO YOUR RESEARCH. This is not an effective tool for someone that doesn't want to identify the differences between the available selections.

The case is a dream, well made & well-ventilated. It's full-size, so don't order it thinking that you're going to not take up plenty of room. The wiring done by the assembly team was very clean and neat. It was done well enough that I felt bad for adding some messy bits getting the added GPU I purchased installed. No wires were loose, all necessary items connected, and all additional wires for the modular PSU were neatly packaged and together.

Assembly was extremely quick since I purchased near mid-summer and not in the middle of the holiday rush. None of the assembly problems mentioned by other users were experienced, and I ascribe that to time of year and lower volume of orders.

Cons: The only downside in the entire process was having to research the individual selections piece by piece with minimal guidance for where each fell on the spectrum of quality/performance and having to make judgments on my own. This was a daunting task for someone never having custom-specced a computer before, but I learned a lot just by going through the step.

No dissatisfaction with parts, assembly or speed of service.

Other Thoughts: 1 x XFX Type 01 Black/Red Mid-Tower Gaming Case
1 x 24X DVD/CD Re-Writer Drive - OEM
1 x 120GB SSD Boot Drive + 1TB 7200 RPM Storage Drive
1 x AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz(4.0GHz Turbo) CPU and Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P Motherboard Combo
1 x Azza Keyboard and Mouse Combo (NOT using, but it was included)
1 x G.Skill 16GB DDR3 2133MHz (2 X 8GB) RipJaws-X
1 x Microsoft Windows 8.1 Professional 64 Bit - OEM
1 x Corsair 750 Watt CS750M 80+ Modular Power Supply
1 x AMD Radeon R5 230 1GB GDDR5 16X PCIe Video Card
1 x 120MM Closed-loop Liquid Cooler

Those were my selections, and it came out around $1200.00

Major upgrade I did outside the configurator was the purchase and installation of an EVGA Geforce GTX 970 FTW+ and I'm waiting on some additional case fans currently in transit.

2 out of 5 eggsClose but not quite there

Pros: It looks cool and it has some power to it

Cons: The video card was fried out of the box the Nvidia GTX980 or something was DOA i'm not surprised since the expansion port covers were not only inside the computer but freely rattled around against it im sure during shipping. The product descriptions for the CPU are miss leading, no where did it say that the CPU i purchased was a dual core. This is a gaming computer, a dual core may as well be a Pentium 3 at this point. I would have purchased a better CPU if the descriptions had been clear or if they could have given me some kind of details on what they were.

Other Thoughts: I was recently promoted at work, I finally made enough money that i could afford to spend something real on a computer. I spent double the staring price on this computer. Waited and waited, and finally it shows up, that was quite fast, pretty good, but still i am alowed to be impatient at this point. Well i take it out and am blown away it looks awesome! i notice that the front of the expansion ports are missing, then i look inside the front of the exposed computer and there are the covers. Resting on top of the video card, I have to take the side panel off to get the covers, so i do and i notice that the video card is really loose inside the case, its attacked but it had no bracing so it can wobble up and down freely with every bounce or shake. the back panel also doesnt have the screws for the cables to attach my DVI. I hook everything up, moment of truth power it on, and bam graphical errors galore, it looks like the matrix. not kidding green vertical braking lines that shift and move when any thing graphical happens. I am using the computer now and let me tell you this is pretty much unusable as it stands. I am just glad i got the warranty to go with this. I am really very displeased and extremely saddened and frustrated. This was my first real computer, i worked really hard to get the money to purchase it and its DOA.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked exactly like advertised

Pros: Everything was delivered as configured. The computer setup of Windows 7 was straight forward. Within 10 minutes I was cruising the internet with a wireless connection.
Water cooler is quiet and keeps the temperature of the 4.4GHz 8 core AMD processor in specification
Have no lock up or Blue screen of death issues.

Cons: None so far. My wife is on it 8+ Hours a Day

Other Thoughts: I am happy with the entire process. From ordering, Delivery and use.

1 out of 5 eggsNot built to what i ordered

Pros: quite running, put together well

Cons: why waste your time picking the parts you want when cyberpower will just put in what they want. but charge you for the higher priced items

Other Thoughts: they also install bloatware on your computer, might as well just ordered the parts myself and put it together.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor construction

Pros: Looked nice?

Cons: Opened box. Plugged in all power and peripherals, and excitedly hit the power button. There were no images displayed on the monitor. I looked inside the computer and #1 the graphics card WAS NOT EVEN IN THE MOTHERBOARD slot!! It was attached to the case supports, but hanging loosely over the motherboard. #2 There were loose motherboard components on the inside. Wow Cyberpower, who builds your computers?

Other Thoughts: I personally know other people who have had problems with Cyberpower computers... they received computers with broken components on the inside as well. I get the feeling their employees simply don't care to do any sort of quality job.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Received everything very quickly

Cons: A few problems upon initial startup

Other Thoughts: Received about a week after I ordered it, when I first set it up there were a few problems but they were easily fixed. Couldn't be happier with the performance of the machine overall, and with how quickly any problems were resolved. Thanks Newegg!

1 out of 5 eggsworst buy ever

Pros: none

Cons: well, i bought this computer on November 27th 2014 and from the beginning it had problems, in the middle of a game the sound would distort and crash my computer, skype also froze and crashed my computer, but the real kicker was when i moved it and it wouldn't bring up my "home screen", so i called cyberpower's customer support and told them my problems, they said they'd fix everything *note they said they'd take care of my skype and sound crashes*, so i sent it to them and after about three weeks i got it back, they did a "system check" and replaced my hard drive, they didn't do anything about skype or my sound crashes, instead they messed up my computer more and i can't return it and get a refund cuz that only lasts for 45 days. Before i sent my computer in it was actually able to play games (before the no homescreen situation) and run them decently until it crashed, but now i can't even check facebook without my computer crashing, they didn't fix my problems they only made it worse, i would stay away from this product if i were able to do it again

Other Thoughts: i want my money back

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Pros: I wouldnt know, I cant use it.

Cons: Dead machine, unresponsive customer service, basically stole my money.

Other Thoughts: Oh boy, do I have a horror story for anyone wanting to do business with Newegg and CyberpowerPC! I purchased a configurated system from CyberpowerPC via Newegg the day before Thanksgiving 2014. It showed about two weeks later and I was excited to test it out. The only hitch was that when it powered on it wouldnt display anything. I called CyberpowerPC's tech support and they walked me through everything they could come up with before determining that the Graphics card it shipped with was bad (do they test these things??). I had to pay a shipping fee to return the bad graphics card they shipped me and wait for the new card to arrive before I could use my machine. It was one month from the time of purchase until my new card arrived and I could power it up. Immediately I started experiencing random system crashes. Hard crashes all the way back to the startup splash screen. Again, I could tech support and tech support trouble shot it over the phone without figuring out what was wrong. They wanted me to send the entire system back. I told them I wasnt paying to do that, that they should have sent me a working system and if it isnt they should be on the hook for any shipping related to repairs. They agreed and sent me a prepaid UPS label. Apprehensive about getting stuck with a lemon I contacted Newegg before shipping it off to find out what my options were. Newegg washed their hands of the machine saying that their 30 day return period was up (nevermind that I couldnt even use the machine to determine if it worked or not within that time). Wanting a working computer I took the chance and sent it back to Cyberpower PC. That was in mid January. They still have my machine as of Feb 24). I have called them numerous times to find out the status of it. The first time they sent me an email saying that they basically replaced everything in the machine and were testing it. A week later after not hearing anything I called again. I was told they would escalate the case and call me back in five minutes to notify me of what they found out. I never heard anything back. I called back two days later and was promptly hung up on by the customer service rep handling my RMA. I called back and she apologized saying she would escalate my case and call me by the end of the day to update me. I never heard back from anyone. Two days later I sent them an email notifying them that if I didnt get word by the end of the following business day that they were sending me either a working computer or a refund in 7 business days I would pursue legal action against them. That was a week ago and I still havent heard a word from CyberpowerPC. As it stands I am pursuing legal action against them and possibly Newegg. I wouldnt recommend doing business with either of these companies. I know I never will again.

Manufacturer Response:
