4 out of 5 eggsAmazingly space efficient design

Pros: Tiny size with up to 7 drives (if you include SSDs)
Plenty of room for big video cards
Surprisingly good cooling
Lian Li build quality, of course
The hot swap hard drive rack is superb; the clean look of the drives partially makes up for the hideous cabling, and it cuts the power cables you need to route in half.

Cons: ATX power supplies fit, but it's reaaaally tight
Cables are stuffed into every nook and cranny, impossible to make it pretty
No front USB

Other Thoughts: If your goal is a super space efficient, and semi-portable NAS server+moderate gaming, I don't think there is a better choice. Lian Li has always made the highest quality case, as well as a mature style/design, and this one is no exception (it's my third Lian Li). It's a bit pricey, but I've had my other Lian Li cases for as long as 7 years, and could still use them comfortably today.
Some sort of additional cable routing would really help, even if it were just some simple clips. Even with that, it would be hard to make it pretty, as the power supply sits on top (therefore all of the cables have to travel over the top, no hiding behind the motherboard mounting plate.
However, with all of the space griping out of the way, it's just amazing how much gear fits into something with dimensions near a sheet of legal paper on top and bottom, and a single letter page on front/back.
I have 1 SSD mounted on the removable floor plate, and 4 SATA drives in the hot swap bays. I also have a 760 GTX, which takes up two expansion bays and has two big fans.

A few recommendations:
- If you can swing the SFX power supply (instead of recycling an ATX power supply like I did), your life will be way easier. This isn't a case which will contain 750+ watts anyways, so SFX will do the job just fine. A Silverstone 450w would fit great, and power most setups you'd want to put in this case anyways.
- Modular power supply is a must; you really can't afford the extra space for unused cables.
- Buy a low profile cooler; I doubt any stock cooler would fit under any power supply. I did the Noctua NH-L9i, and it's an absolutely perfect fit, and keeps things quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic NAS Case

Pros: This case, and its storage for hard drives is fantastic. I have been using this case for more than a year to run my NAS, which is online 24/7. It has also moved with my across the US.

Cons: Side panel needs to be pushed in fully, or humming noise sometimes happens.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent but has its issues

Pros: Small form factor
Easy to assemble
Good cable routing options
Sturdy design
Good cooling design

Cons: Fan started making noise after 4 months of use
Case is riveted together (no way to easily replace fan)
Limited storage capacity

Other Thoughts: I've been using this case as a home server and it has performed exceptionally well. The interior fills up quickly, but that is to be expected from a smaller case design. There are plenty of storage mounting options and the cooling system design keeps the components well cooled. I even have room for some expansion cards.

The downside is the front fan began making noise a week ago and that is when I discovered that there is no easy way to replace it. I will either have to drill out the rivets and replace them with nuts/bolts or find some sort of Phillips head driver that can work in a ~2cm gap. This lowered my rating significantly.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very well engineered high-quality case worthy of the Lian-Li branding. Fits a full ATX power supply in a very small case. Hot-swap trays work well. Easy to work with with the power supply at least partially removed. Good access to both sides. Side panels pop right off but hold securely. Case is very solid. Cooling is good for a low-mid power system (it's mini ITX)

Cons: It can be difficult to work in and you must remove the PSU to access the motherboard. It is a very acceptable trade off to the small size.

Other Thoughts: I use this for NAS storage. It has been extremely difficult to find a case that works well in that application. This Lian-Li case is nearly perfect and I am very pleased.

4 out of 5 eggsOne minor problem

Pros: Everything about the case is great.

Cons: There is a bracket riveted into the hdd area to mount a 2.5" drive. It was riveted in backwards so it is useless for that. Fortunately I have no intention of using a 2.5" drive there.

1 out of 5 eggsHDD cage does NOT come out

Pros: It's pretty.

Cons: The marketing material says the HDD cage is removable. That is wrong. It is, in fact, quite firmly riveted in place. The TRAY at the bottom of the case can be removed but there's no way to get the gigantic cage out of it. If you're thinking about cramming a big PSU in this, think again.

Other Thoughts: I've been buying parts from newegg since 2001. I've never written a review before today. But the marketing materials for this are downright misleading.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat small size, painful install.

Pros: Case is small and very quiet. I feel confident of the build quality.

Cons: The front fan of mine kept hitting the dust filter causing an awful noise. I solved it by putting a few screw washers in between the fan and the filter. The metal coating of the case attracts finger prints and oil like I couldn't believe. The biggest problem I had is the HDD backplanes. Troubleshooting has been a b*#$h. Had to test everything to know for sure and in the end, it was one of the backplanes that was dead. Not sure how I'm going to RMA it. I'd rather just get a new backplane from Lian Li but I'm not sure that's an option.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Built a PC for a friend with this case with a final price of 35.99!!! Just insane how cheap this aluminum case was. So much room for expansion I loved the layout. Rubber mounted everything, tool-less disassembly, a real fun little case that looks great and was simple to build with. Was a shame to have actually give it away I missed the case that much.

Paired with some quiet fans you will hardly even hear it running. Simple lines of the case look great and it will fit into a ton of small spaces. The dust filters on the fans are one of my fav parts the fans remove easily for cleaning( Great for dog/cat owners.)

Cons: For the price I can't fault anything really, MAYBE you can find a gripe with no front usb ports but that's it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case

Pros: This case is incredibly well designed for the price, I currently have 5 3.5" HDDs and 1 2.5" SSD in there. It uses a backplane for the hard drives to plug in so you don't need as many power ports on the power supply, which is kind of nice.

The way the whole 5 drive bay system works with the rails and locking mechanism is really creative.

The way the fans are designed to cool, including using the power supply fan, gives the case a real good amount of air flow.

Cons: Cables going to the back of the hard drives are a little snug, but that's to be expected in a more compact case design.

No USB port on the front of the unit, which makes it more inconvenient for booting off a flash drive.

The standard ATX power supply was a little tight due to the way the cables come out of the front of the supply. It puts them directly against the drive cage.

Other Thoughts: The case sides pop off without screws which is both a pro and a con. I had to maneuver my cables a little more because the pressure they were putting on the side behind the drive bay was causing it to pop out a little.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case - awful service

Pros: The case, as with all Lian Li cases I own is great - top quality, excellent fit and finish

Cons: none except for Neweggs onerous return policies

Other Thoughts: This is my last purchase from Newegg - they USED to be a good place to buy from.
