The SAPPHIRE 100366-2L Radeon R7 260X is powered by AMD Radeon R7 260X, the latest AMD GPU designed to take your gaming to the next level. Based on AMD generation GCN architecture and boasting support for DirectX 11.2, the Radeon R7 260X is built to play the very latest games with perfectly smooth action, even at higher resolutions. New AMD Eyefinity Technology allows you to build three-monitor environment through just two DVI and one HDMI ports, without connecting DisplayPort which is required in HD 7000 series. AMD TrueAudio Technology brings your game to life by adding more realistic environmental dynamics, sound effects, and directional audio. A rich set of AMD innovative technologies are included, such as App Acceleration, AMD PowerTune, AMD ZeroCore, and AMD HD3D technology. With these technology advancements, you'll get more than one way to elevate your gaming experience.

  • newegg DirectX 11.2 The tessellation performance on AMD Radeon R7/ R9 series is up to two times faster than the previous generation, and DirectCompute performance is also faster to accelerate advanced post-processing, filtering, and anti-aliasing techniques. Direct X11 games have never looked this good.
  • newegg Mantle There’s optimization, and then there’s Mantle. Games enabled with Mantle speak the language of GCN architecture to unlock revolutionary performance and image quality. It’s a game-changing innovation developed by AMD.
  • newegg AMD TrueAudio Technology AMD TrueAudio technology brings the world’s first programmable audio pipeline marking a new frontier in realism for PC gamers. AMD TrueAudio technology empowers game developers with a programmable audio pipeline on the GPU, inviting them to put their unique artistic fingerprint on in-game audio in the same way that the programmable graphics pipeline brought unfettered artistic vision to PC graphics. Enabled games can feature more realistic environmental dynamics, a richer tapestry of sound effects, breathtaking directional audio and more. AMD TrueAudio technology enhances audio realism by simulating the human brain’s perception of real-world sound, working in concert with the user’s existing audio hardware to recreate a lifelike experience (on supported games).
  • newegg AMD PowerTune Technology AMD PowerTune is a breakthrough technology that sets an entirely new direction for maximum performance at TDP. It allows the GPU to be designed with higher engine clock speeds which can be applied on the broad set of applications that have thermal headroom.
  • newegg AMD Stream Technology Accelerate the most demanding applications with AMD Stream technology and do more with your PC. AMD Stream Technology allows you to use the teraflops of compute power locked up in your graphics processer on tasks other than traditional graphics such as video encoding, at which the graphics processor is many, many times faster than using the CPU alone.
  • newegg AMD App Acceleration AMD App Acceleration is a set of technologies designed to improve video quality and enhance application performance. Full enablement of some features requires support for OpenCL, DirectCompute, or DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA).

2 out of 5 eggsGood Card, Bad issues

Pros: Nice price
Decent specs

Cons: Constant crashes,
Bad driver Support
problems with heating
Can't get in contact with the developer

Other Thoughts: This card is a very unstable card, i would not recommend you buy this card. although the price is nice and the card's specs are great, the driver and heating issue makes playing games or doing anything with this card really bad. not to mention Saphire does not have a contact line, only a website ticket base that does not seem to work, so if you need to contact them, good luck.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little card

Pros: Multiple display types, Low cost, Good performance for the price a nice entry level card for a budget build.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This little guy surprised me. I'm not maxing out most games, but they are still nice looking and performing well. Coming from a laptop with integrated graphics I couldn't be happier.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Card

Pros: In theory and by looking at the specs this card would be great.

Cons: There are issues internally in this card, I believe it is not issues with the drivers, but in the card itself. I have an HD 6670 card that runs the exact same driver as this card and I have zero issues with that card, This card on the other hand, I can't get it to Not Crash my computer when I play a game. I got an RMA, only through NewEggs help and they sent another broken card that will not work in either of my computers. When I contacted them about the second card doing the same thing, they told me the issue is in my computer, uh no, no it's not. I have the previously mentioned 6670 card and an older nVidia card that both of them work perfectly in either computer but this Sapphire card will crash either computer after about 30 seconds into booting up ANY game. I strongly advise AGAINST getting this card, don't waste your money.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg was great in helping me get in contact with Sapphire, I just wish I had something that worked for the money I spent purchasing this card. Sapphire's customer service is minimal, and their concern for getting this customer a working product is nonexistent. Sapphire does Not care if you are satisfied much less happy, I wonder how they have stayed in business as long as they have when they alienate and frustrate their paying customers, then blow them off and tell them to Flash the card to possibly fix their obviously defective replacement card. I wish I could get a refund or a replacement that would actually work. This experience has shaken my loyalty to AMD and I will very seriously consider getting nVidia cards in the future. Stay away from Sapphire video cards, you will regret it, learn from my mistake.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for price

Pros: The graphics card has a deicent amount of power especially for a budget card
This card by far out preforms the nvidia gtx 750 especially if it is overclocked.
It is cheap at around 110 dollars
It has a display port

Cons: needs external power from the power supply (6 pin lead)
runs warm especially if overclocked
It has display port but cant run any games at 4k so you are better off using HDMI
A little on the bulky side

Other Thoughts: I think for the money this card is worth spending the extra $30 instead of buying something like the 250. Make sure if you buy this card to at least have 3 fans or keep one of your bay doors open. I would recommend this card to anyone learning how to build a pc

Pros: Some games medium to high settings

Cons: driver issues that have not been fixed (will randomly black screen/freeze your computer) this is more common the I originally thought I should have trusted the others its not just the R7's either

Other Thoughts: I thought this would be a good deal instead I never knew when my computer would freeze doesn't matter if there was load or not spent months troubleshooting searching forums etc just to read other peoples similar issues no resolutions

5 out of 5 eggssurprising bang:buck

Pros: Good framerates in modern games with decent settings
able to max out settings and res in older games easily
lowish power for the performance
runs cool and quiet
AMD cards look better in 2D to me

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: I have been surprised by this card. It runs older games from just a few years ago at the highest settings and 1080p without a problem. the most demanding stuff still hits 40-60FPS for me.

More modern games still run very well with mid settings at 1080 or higher settings at 720.

I expected a 50-75% increase in benches over my older NV card, and got something like 350% across the board, with a card that is only 40$ more than the NV model I was using.

it is also happily running on a 480W PSU with a G3258 at 4.1, 12GB DDR1333, 120Gb SSD and a 1TB data drive, all cruising along on a cheap B85 board.

I have not encountered any driver issues with 14.12 on a fresh install of Win 7 64 pro.

4 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

Pros: Great card for the price, maxes out every game I play (at least 900p,30+fps)
Far Cry 3, Saints Row IV, Crysis, GTA IV, Mirror's Edge, CS: GO, etc.
Paired with an Athlon x4 860k, 6gb of ram, and a Corsair CX430 PSU

Cons: Definitely experienced the blackout issues others have faced. This card actually will not output anything if I turn it on without plugging the monitor in. Minor inconvenience, but it's still there. Thankfully the card still responds if it gets unplugged and then plugged back in while it's on.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes it's job but ran into problems.

Pros: The card does what it needs to do. I can max out any lower end game (Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Minecraft, Smite) without ever going under 60 and rarely under 100. The card goes to a high temperature of 75 degrees Celsius when the fan spins less than 50% at full load. The card has been doing what I wanted it to do.

Cons: I had problems during installation. My computer slowed down a bit but that was probably because of a lack of drivers. My audio was not working and I couldn't do anything to fix it. I ended up getting a new sound card. However, I would still recommend this in a custom build.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't encourage someone to take their old PC and put this card in it since it may mess your on board audio. Your BIOS may not be able to fix it either. If you're doing a custom build, this is an amazing budget graphics card.
