5 out of 5 eggsworks fine and quiet too!

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply

Pros: Arrived quickly from NewEgg (they rock!) and in excellent condition. Fired it right up and everything works properly. Nice and quiet 120mm fan too!

I have used Corsair's PSU's in several systems and I have never had a problem with any of them; and some of them are 3+ years old.

Update: May 2016 and I've bought a few more of these over time. None have failed.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have used other PSU's from other manufacturers for builds/repairs and have been burnt by failures. So now I always invest in quality PSU's from Corsair to get the job done.

I am suspicious of reviewers that claim to have "High" Tech Knowledge ... especially after I have read some of their reviews.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Product, iffy rebates

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply

Pros: Nothing wrong with it, great product, does its job well. I've purchased several.

Cons: Often purchased with rebate making it the best bang for the buck. Unfortunately even after careful submission, the rebate doesn't show up.

Other Thoughts: I took eggs off for the rebate. they should just give it to us upfront or simply charge a sustainable price.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply

Pros: It gives power to various things in a computer.

Cons: It is heavy.

Other Thoughts: Easy to plug the cords into where they belonged. I like how it came with zip ties. The thing is kinda heavy. Not sure if that is a common thing since this is the first power supply I ever bought. There were a lot of cords. I bought a small case and even with small hands and fingers it was hard to maneuver cords around. Over all I am satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsBronze Certified!

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply

Pros: Bronze Certified
Has a PCIe connector
Cables are enough to reach the connections but not overkill and cause a mess

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This power supply is relatively stable and would be recommended for small project home computers that do not need multiple GPUs.
Great for student, home theatre, spare, work computers

5 out of 5 eggsAbsurd reliability, incredible price.

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply

Pros: - Reliable. After using 500+ of these only 1 was DOA, and one other died within a month.
- Quiet. Silent really.
- Outstanding cable length. These will fit most ATX cases without extension cables.
- Build quality A++

Cons: - Connector tolerance is very very tight. Some boards require a large amount of rocking and force to get 24-pin and 4+4 connectors to seat.
- Only 2 SATA power on 2 cables. Would like to see more SATA and less LP4 molex.

Other Thoughts: Perfect power supply for reliable low-end builds. Would not drive more than 60% rated power through one as they tend to get warm and loud after that. Stick with a GTX 950/R7 370 or less when using this PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsupdate to "DOA" @11:10:30 pm i was wrong!

This review is from: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply Power Supply

Pros: again, good weight, more is better, at 4.55 lbs its OK, shipped in 3 days, for free, and it was less than 45 bucks! its also very silent, especially with a single Noctua 120mm silent exhaust fan, its a really silent PSU at idle, and unrecognizable hum at 2-3 feet away. (silent with headphones as everyone should be) bcuz let's face it, if you can spend 45 dollars on a power supply, you can spend 45 dollars or less for some turtle beaches gaming earforce one headphones with a 3.5 mm jack.

Cons: none what so ever!

Other Thoughts: I was wrong when I said dead on arrival. I swear I can be a complete idiot sometimes. in my setup, my school, and gaming desk is a corner desk from IKEA, and in my single, I only have 4 wall outlets, in that corner, and kitchen with no stove, opposite corner, and middle of fourth wall where a television set would be. my internet box took up an outlet, and my monitor took the other, I bought an extension cord with up to 12 more outlets, and it has test/reset/on/off/ grounded / non grounded indicator as well. everything plugged in, computer as well, and nothing. no boot. long story short, grounded indicator doesn't mean its receiving power, the extension cords on off switch was off, I flipped it on and boom, my PC booted up! I'm sorry corsair, your PSU is great!
