1 out of 5 eggsFailing, Constant BSOD

Pros: Worked flawlessly for 4 months and thats it
Was on sale...

Cons: Gimmicky design, only worked for close to 4 months and now its going bad, over 38,000 errors when running Memtest, Constant BSOD's, programs crashing failing to load, can't even render anything in premiere pro cause it just crashes during export, can barely even game to as games won't even load or just crash on load screen...

Other Thoughts: Won't be getting G-Skill ram ever again, I have a 4 gig set of Corsair XMS DDR2 ram that still works flawlessly even after 8 years of 24/7 operation, its still going strong in my old computer to. Will be sticking with Corsair or possibly Kingston from now on even if they are more expensive. Be wary when you see stuff on sale...

Dear Customer

We will be glad to help with this issue. This memory kit is above standard, so make sure to configure settings in BIOS/EFI. Without the proper set up, it is possible for the RAM to develop hard errors and corrupt over time. This is a high performance memory kit; with the correct values input, the computer will be very fast and reliable. Since a module may have failed now, send the memory in for RMA exchange and we can send you replacements right away. With the new kit, you can expect the operating system to be nice and smooth. Visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Good Stuff

Pros: First off, I got this on sale for less than $50, which is amazing. The RAM itself looks pretty awesome in my opinion, which is good. The speed is average for DDR3, and I have had no problems whatsoever.

Cons: None, as of now.

Other Thoughts: Scores a 7.3 on Windows experience index (For those who care). Also comes with a nice looking case sticker.

5 out of 5 eggsIMPRESSIVE

Pros: This is the best ram I have found. I added 8gb for a total of 16 and my WEI is 7.8 I am using a Z97 mobo and a 4690k cpu.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I have built many computers over the last 5 years and used different brands of components. G Skill is my only choice for ram as I have 1866 and 2133 in other builds. G Skill ram works well on AMD and Intel platforms.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on arrival

Pros: Got it on sale from an email

Cons: Did not work. Tried using each stick individually, together, individually with previous working RAM, and together with previous working RAM, but system would not boot properly with new RAM. System turns on, but there is no system beep and the system never boots up. Upon removing new RAM and using previously owned RAM, the system booted as normal.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to use in addition to my current RAM (Item#: N82E16820231193) on this (Item#: N82E16813131398) motherboard with this (Item#: N82E16819103706) processor. Should be compatible with my system, but I'm surprised that neither stick worked and that either in conjunction with my working RAM would prevent system start up. Will be looking to return/replace

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We can help with this issue. With the original RAM, download the latest BIOS and flash it within the motherboard. The motherboard BIOS is outdated which is why the new RAM can not be recognized. Older BIOS versions did not accept 4GB modules, so with an update, this memory will boot up without a problem. The AMD CPU does not support DDR3-1600, so it would be best for you to manually set the RAM to DDR3-1333 tCL 8 - tRCD 8 - tRP 8 - tRAS 24 1.50V for optimal performance. Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly. The G.Skill support team will make sure G.Skill RAM is operating at maximum performance in your computer.

5 out of 5 eggsNice OC RAM

Pros: OC'ed to 2133 MHz no problem on my mobo.

Cons: Could be larger, but assuming you're looking into this you've settled on this allotment. However, I also see alot of articles saying the 1866 Mhz edition, is a bit better at OC, and less people see as many problems.

Other Thoughts: Might suggest the 1866 MHz version.

5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM!

Pros: Works as advertised.Easy to install and popped right in.Running with an i5-4690k on Asus MB and all is good.Haven't even tinkered with UEFI yet as I had to use stock heat sink from Intel because apparently an 1150 board is cut different than a 775.My old Buffalo heat sink was off by approx. 1/16 of an inch and just wouldn't fit my new board.Going to water cooling in about a week. Then I'll get into UEFI and 'play'!Anyway,I've been dealing with New Egg now for about 8 years and everything was delivered on time and worked out of the box.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I used G.Skill in my previous build and had no issues. And that was DDR 2 I purchased in Dec. 2008.Still running strong.Highly recommended.
