4 out of 5 eggsI like it

Pros: The card reader wasn't important to me but it works (with Vista. I haven't tried it with Ubuntu). I bought this impulsively because I needed another enclosure and it has 2 USB ports on the front. I put a WD IDE 160 in it. It took forever to format but never got more than warm. No problems with the USB and I'm not really upset at the slowness of the drive. No effort to work with Vista (I also use various flavors of Linux and have had no px with my drives being recognized by any of them).

Cons: No speed demon.

Other Thoughts: I also have a Phantom enclosure with a Seagate SATA 250 in it that is a workhorse. My favorite though is my Seagate FreeAgent 250. I got it for just under $70 free shipping from Newegg awhile back. It's fast, only gets warm, and is on whenever my PC is on. When you read my reviews always know you're getting the perspective of a cheapskate. I just want my stuff to work and fit in my budget.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: Very easy installation with one exception.
All devices work perfectly. Looks great. Does not seem to run any warmer than my other units.
Great buy.

Cons: Might have a little better documentation and installation instruction. Would have saved me some time and frustration.

Other Thoughts: I bought this enclosure to update an existing enclosure which worked fine but didn't have the extras that this unit has. Was about to RMA this unit because it would not regcognize my hard drive but found a cure for the problem. My drive was set to "Master" setting on previous installation and this setting did not work on this application. Changed it to "CS" Cable Select and turned unit on and it immediately recognized drive. Problem solved and everything now works perfectly.

3 out of 5 eggscard reader needs software install

Pros: cheap, aluminum.

Cons: Unfortunately software is required for the card readers to work. Add that along with the fanless design (their other models have fans) and I am not impressed. I accidentally left it on overnight and it got scary hot with just an idle drive.
Also, I don't know where this upright enclosure fad came from but if you knock them over while they are running you can consider all data lost and unrecoverable (personal experienc from previous INOI drivee). I lay mine down flat and because of that it is wobbly.

Other Thoughts: I was hoping to carry this with me and use on different computers for photography but it just isn't going to work if I have to do a software install on client's computers.

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME

Pros: This is an excellent enclosure. The card reader works well too. I use it constantly with a 4GB CF card and it sees all four gigabytes. Also, they two added USB ports are a nice touch. So far this is one of the best dive enclosures I have used.

Also, if you dont have the power switch on you can still the card reader because it only needs the power over the USB cord to work.

Cons: The only con to this drive is that it has the switch on the back, but 95% of enclosures do that as well.

Other Thoughts: I like this Inoi company. I have a 5.25 inch enclosure two that works great!

2 out of 5 eggsNot Good!

Pros: Well constructed, good design.

Cons: System crashes almost everytime its powered up. After a couple of reboots it will work until the system is powered on again. Any suggestions???

Other Thoughts: Why do they always put the power switch on the back? Would be nice to have switch on front where it is accessible.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a follow up reveiw of this enclosure.
I now have 4 of these enclosures and have given my other two away that were not Inoi products because these enclosures are by far superior. (Thermaltake and Bytecc)
They are used daily and without failures.
You will not be sorry for purchasing one of these.

Cons: The only con I can come up with is that the card readers will not read a memory card that is larger than 1 GB.
I have 2 SD - 2GB cards that they will not recognize but I purchased a Rosewell USB adapter for my SD cards from NewEgg and live happily ever after!

Other Thoughts: As far as the people that complained about overheating, this would only be due to the hard drive that you use.
All my drives are 200-320 GB Seagate drives (All Purchased from NewEgg) and they only get warm, not hot to the touch.
A friend of mine has 4 of these enclosures also and has had no problems. (3 Seagate & 1 WD) (All from Newegg)
For the money and the flexibility point of veiw, I don't think they can be beat!

Keep up the good deals NewEgg! Even UPS is getting better! (Not better than Fed-Ex though)

4 out of 5 eggsINOi HD362-P

Pros: Nice design, simple to assamble. Works as promised.

Cons: Was unable to get it to work with a 250g seagate drive that works internaly. Worked great with an 80g hitachi drive however. Leads me to speculate that it may be flashed to only work with certain drive geometries.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice enclosure

Pros: All the functions: usb 2.0 Hub; card reader; and most important stable performance for harddrive.

Cons: Not really. But would prefer a horizontal instead of vertical stand.

Other Thoughts: Waiting for the rebate. It is already a nice deal without the rebate.
