5 out of 5 eggsGreat seller, excellent product!

Pros: The watch is a typically excellent Citizen product. Like my other two Eco Drives, it's precisely regulated, and only requires resetting monthly at most. This particular model thankfully avoids the current trend of dive watches that are easily visible from orbit. The monocoque case, combined with a somewhat smaller diameter than the current norm provide an infinitely more wearable watch with far greater comfort on the wrist than most of the currently 44mm or larger divers are able to deliver. There's nothing I can say about Eco Drive. It's an absolutely genius idea, and this watch takes full advantage of it. The movement is precisely regulated, and thus far seems to be holding a set to within 2-3 seconds per WEEK! (Far exceeding COSC standards, even for a quartz movement. Not unusual for a Citizen.) Lume is good to excellent, and glows at a readable level all night long. The watch delivers good comfort on an average to smallish wrist, and the 20mm lug width means a replacement strap is a piece of cake if you don't like the factory rubber one. (I didn't, even though it's one of the better standard straps out there, particularly with the steel reinforcement tubes over the pins.) If, like me, you can't leave well enough alone, the watch looks GREAT on a NATO strap with either polished or brushed hardware. Overall, the watch is a solid value, and should serve you well, particularly if you are actually a diver, military, in public safety, or all of the above. (Like me.)

The buying process couldn't have been easier, and communication from the seller was excellent. The price was the least expensive I was able to find online, and shipping was free. It was well packaged, and both obviously and easily verified as 100% authentic. Like this particular watch, I would highly recommend the seller as well.

Cons: Very few cons, but they are there. As has been mentioned in other reviews of this particular model, the crown takes a bit of attention to detail to screw down properly. Not a big deal, but you do have to take some care. That should be done with any diver watch anyway, but this one takes a little more. There's no date magnifier, so despite the best efforts of a very nice guy with a laser, my 44 year old eyes still think the date indicator is REALLY tiny. If you're a little older, don't depend on it. And then there's the strap. It's a good one, don't get me wrong, but the holes in it are spaced just wrong for me, so it was either slightly too snug, or able to spin completely around my wrist. No in between. I typically switch to an easily washed nylon NATO strap on everything anyway, so also not a big deal for me.

Other Thoughts: Overall very good to excellent, but may require an aftermarket strap to be as useable as possible. You can spend a lot more money for a product that doesn't work as well, so if you're on the fence, go for it.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Watch

Pros: Eco-drive watch recharges itself, has all the benefits of quartz movement (accuracy) without the hassles (battery replacement every few years).

Very nicely made, rugged, great for water sports, but looks good enough for everyday wear.

Cons: Not perpetual date, so several times a year the day-of-month indicator needs to be advanced.

No big deal, except that when reseating the watch's crown/stem and resealing it does not always go well: lots of reports of others having leaks (fatal to the watch) related to this.

Note that leaks are NOT covered by Citizen's warranty. And, having the watch repaired was as expensive as buying a new one

Other Thoughts: Make sure the crown/stem is carefully tightened down if you need to open it to set it (date, or daylight savings time).

As noted, this weak spot (if you don't tighten it down carefully, and it is not easy to do so, it will leak) is mentioned in other reviews out there in the pipes of the interwebs.

One Egg off for this, combined with the less than stellar (in my opinion) warranty service.
