PH 3/8/2011 6:30:13 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 5/5	Rating: 5/5A Very Reliable Time-Keeper With a Railroad-Approved Dial Pros: Excellent to exceptional time-keeping. Very high contrast dial. The black hour and minute hands with red sweep second hand are exceptionally easy to read. Cons: Very difficult to adjust the band size to fit a particular wrist. It is possible to use a very small twist drill reversed and held in a small pin-vise, and this method is as quick and reliable as the special tool which is otherwise required. Without the pin-vise or the special tool, setting the band size without damaging the band is next to impossible. Other Thoughts: Pulsar used to be Seiko's second-line watch, and their original Raildroad-Approved dial showed it: it was made of paper and the indicia was printed conventionally. The Pulsar has been significantly improved by the application of a true enamel-on-metal dial for greatly improved contrast, and greatly improved readability in low-light conditions.
