1 out of 5 eggsPretty simple really - does not work

Pros: none as it just does not work

Cons: I can't get it to function, I've charged it and all the lights go but the chopper does nothing

5 out of 5 eggsEasy to fly

Pros: Really fun & easy to fly...very stable! Didn't want to give it back to my nephew.... Fun to chase the cats with! For me...not them!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Makes a really great gift.... May want to get two of them, as you will want one after flying it!

5 out of 5 eggsfun little sucker

Pros: Good price, not tiny like most cheap helicopters. Got two, for my sister's highschool graduation and my roommate's college (Aero major) graduation. Both enjoy them after learning to fly them. Pretty durable, I've seen some rough crash lands and flying the rotors right into stuff.

Cons: The learning curve for flying it is a little steeper than with a single gyro. Short battery life, but that's not any different than any other rc helicopter

Other Thoughts: Works best if you hold it with one hand while taking off as it will generally list to one side heavily during takeoff. Try to catch it as it lands, could just be our (fantastically clean [/sarcasm]) apartment, but hair tends to get wrapped around the rotor shaft. Would definitely recommend it

3 out of 5 eggsNifty Heli, weak directions

Pros: Once you find out how to use the Back and Forward BUTTONS it is a lot more flyable. More of a challenge to fly than a single rotor heli.

Cons: instructions poor, charging port on bottom so when charging it has to be on it's side. needs a search light rather than the flashing lights or in addition to them. RC frequency is factory set, not changeable. The switch ABC on controller is only to match it to factory set freq.

Other Thoughts: The instructions only indicate that there is a Back and Forward button.
By reading another review is only that I found something about them.
Up till that the heli would suddenly start to spin and before I could get to the trim, it would crash. Found by many trail and error that a few presses of the B or F button allowed me to really fly it and land it.
The Syma heli is much easy to fly. Should have option to order with your choice of frequency!

5 out of 5 eggsDouble Bladed

Pros: Out of the many micro choppers that I have owned and currently own, this one is the most stable whilst in flight. The double blades seem to make all the difference when in the air to prevent "spiraling" and making stable turns with the craft.

One unexpected surprise that I didn't see coming is that the Chinook is FAST in flight, too! Finally, the body style of the Mini Chinook is not only realistic *(unlike some choppers) but also very durable. After many, many crash landing(s), it has held up very well....not only with the helicopter's structure, but also the paint and coating has held up as well.

Cons: As with just about all of the mini choppers that I have owned, the battery's charge integrity could have a little more duration. This unit will yield about 9 to 12 minutes of actual flight time before needing a re-charge.

4 out of 5 eggsFun to fly indoors

Pros: Flies better than it's larger brother (S022)

4 props

fun led on bottom

Easy to control

Cons: loses connection outside

Even after it's been fully trimmed, it still slightly turns.

Other Thoughts: This is a heck of a lot funner to play with than the bigger S022, it's super stable and love how detailed the model is.

I recommend this heli to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fun with the guys

Pros: Short learning curve and you fly like a pro. The guys come over last night and we all had a ball flying this Chinook around. Very durable- lots of crashes when we started but this little heli just got right back up in the air.

Cons: The throttle has a spring that needs to be released for better hovering and less crashes. Look around for the modifications videos (same mod for the Syma S107 remote).

Other Thoughts: Might be better to start with one of the single-rotar helis first, just to get the hang of flying these things if you are a beginner. Can't go wrong with the Syma s107 for starters. But you gotta admit, the Chinook is the coolest heli out there!

2 out of 5 eggsnot what is in the picture

Pros: Small RC chopper

Cons: No gyro. The picture shoes the gyro version (S206G) which newegg also sells. but even though you will see gyro written on the controller this does not have one. This makes it hard to fly and not stable as other Syma helicopters.

Other Thoughts: RMA process is hard because it is not newegg but toyworld selling this.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks Cool in the air

Pros: Fun to fly, don’t get this one if you are looking for pin point accuracy
You will pay a lot more for that.

Cons: Not the best helicopter I have ever flown especially when it comes to turning
Most likely due to not having one pivot point but two.
Throttle has a spring that keeps you from setting a hover point so you are continuously holding the throttle with your thumb.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this copter for my father-in-law on father’s day
Unfortunately we got a bad one; all the lights worked on the chopper and on the remote but absolutely nothing happened when you used the controls.… That’s the bad news.
The good news is I contacted Newegg and they took care of it.
Sent me a new one and didn’t want the old one returned.
We found that it was the controller that was bad and we now have two working helicopters so if he kills one he can try again.
I did find this copter challenging to fly but for the size and price point you can’t beet it.
It’s not meant for precision but to have fun with and that’s what the kids and grandpa do with it.
I have purchased hundreds of items from Newegg in the past and this was the first thing I ever had to return, but it was handled exceptionally well!
Thanks Newegg!

4 out of 5 eggsFun if you like toys

Pros: It charges quickly and it runs. It moves fast so skill is key. I don't have the skill. Still, I get a kick out of it. I crash each time and no damage is sustained. I like it a lot, but maybe I should have tried a simpler model first.

Cons: It is difficult, for me at least, to keep it flying straight. It wants to rotate on its own axes, much like the Earth rotates on its axes to bring us day and night. I could be doing something wrong, but a good hobbiest or a true helicopter pilot would probably do much better.

Other Thoughts: I have plenty of time, but little patience to practice enough to improve my skill. I am not good at video games either, so i will not give this heli a bad score. It could be all my fault. It runs fine, but mine mostly just collects dust.
