There is something strange in the skies…look out, it’s a UFO! This cool quadcopter style Gyro UFO will take you out of this world with its awesome flying. Move it up, down, left, right, front and back for crazy flying fun. The nifty Gyro has the latest in stabilizing technology to keep it off the ground and flying high. It can be flown almost anywhere with gentle wind conditions, and is super easy to control. The 4ch RC Gyro is built with a sturdy frame comes with an easy to use 2.4G LCD remote control. It also comes with 2 x 3.7v 240mAh Lipo Battery for plenty of power.

Imagine sending this cool UFO up into the sky and watching the neighbors race to call someone about the ‘aliens’ landing in the back yard! You’ll have hours of fun whizzing the Gyro up and around, doing all the stunts you could ever imagine. It even rolls, and its small size means it can be used indoors. 5 out of 5 eggsA real value

Pros: I've been into RC helis and quads for about 2 yrs. This is a GREAT rc - its small and durable but also advanced enough that you can have some fun. Some of the cheap 'gyro' helis are fun but you get bored after awhile. You have full 4 channel control and its quite responsive. Comes with 2 Lipo batt and charger surprisingly.

Cons: None - for the price I paid it compares to the QR ladybug at $100

5 out of 5 eggsDeceptively fun!

Pros: Cheap
Virtually indestructable
Sounds like a large bumble-bee - not at all mechanical
Two batteries
Extra blades (haven't needed them yet)

Cons: Not much lifting capacity - forget about lifting any key fob camera (unless it weighs less than 10g)
Hard to make very delicate indoor maneuvers
Difficult to get it to stay at a specific height - seems to either be climbing or descending.

Other Thoughts: I got this when it was on a shell shocker deal for about half the current price. It's my first try at a quad-copter. I've had other small co-axial helicopters, and even ventured into a 6-ch Walkera mini 3D-capable heli (though that was defective right out the box). Out of all of them, this one has been the most thrilling, and most fun!
The biggest hazard is getting it on a neighbors roof, or stuck in a tree. This guy will fly so high, you can't even tell which way it's facing. In mode 2 (expert mode), the forward motion will blast through any wind. I'd bed this thing hits 50mph in a straight shot if you let it.
All my neighbors are getting one (for their kids, they say... sure!).
I've slammed it into every vertical and horizontal (ground) structure there is, and without fail, it's good to go. No damage yet.
Indoors is fun, but it limits the fun you can have. Also, it creates quite a bit of it's own rotor-wash, so flying it in small spaces, or trying to land on a precise spot is more luck than skill.
Because it does not seem to "lock" at a given height, it requires constant input on the throttle to maintain a specific level. With some practice, this is no issue - but for beginners or any "hands off" flying, it isn't ideal.
Still, given it's robustness, I'd have no concerns letting my 10yo niece fly it.
If you're considering dabbling in flying R/C toys, this is the one to get - even as a first time flyer. It simply goes where you want it to (and in a hurry!), and flies strong.

Batteries take about 30-45 min to charge with a standard USB wall charger. The charger platform allows two batteries to be charged simultaneously - which is good if you have a third (I do). Flying time is around 5-10 minutes depending on how aggressive you fly.

I did manage to attach my key fob HD camera to it - though I had to take the electronics out of the plastic housing so it would be light enough for the U816. Some double-stick tape, and I was able to get about 200' above my house, getting a great view of my neighborhood. The vibration in the video makes it all but useless - so I have to come up with a better way to soften the mount.
If this ever goes on sale (or if I lose/break this one) I will certainly buy more.
And, any future flying R/C toys will likely all be some form of this quad-copter design.
