Pros: This thing is BIG !
Looks very cool in the air and sounds great .
It has managed to survive some crashes from quite a height and shows no damage so far .
The LED's are very bright and look cool during night time flights .
Hovering is DEAD simple as long as you set the calibration up . After you have calibrated the radio a perfect hover with no movement at all is possible.
Looks very cool next to my 9102 on the shelf .

Cons: This thing must be flown with NO WIND ! Zero ! NONE ! .
The tail rotors are to small and forward movement is way to little . I will be modding mine for better forward movement .
20-25 min to charge then you get about 12 min flight .
I wish the battery was slung under carage ( it is inside the chopper body ) so that I could hot swap the battery's so that one could be charging while I am flying .
Possible mod ??

Other Thoughts: I would NOT recommend this for a child.
Flight is dead simple but as yo MUST fly indoors or with absolutely NO wind , this is not for a youngster.
The temptation to take it outside even when there is no apparent wind , has caused me to chase this thing as a breeze at 20-30 feet has sent it zooming off at a high rate of speed.

Pros: Great sleek design, strong metal frame, flexible rotor blades and easy view of motor and moving parts.
The larger internal battery gives you a few more minutes to fly then other heli's out there, as long as you charge it before you first try it and let it charge for the full time and then an hour after each flight.
My first flight after the full charge was 13 minutes, and 15 minutes after the second charge.

Cons: Tail boom motor lacks power to move the helicopter forward or backwards in the slightest breeze. This motor should pack more of a punch and be upgraded so that you can fly better in slight windy conditions. In order to fly outside there needs to be "0" wind.
Charging time is a little longer then most heli's out there. The first charge took over an hour and a half. The second charge was 1 hour.

Other Thoughts: The plastic hood cover is nice, but should be made more flexible or made of a light weight sheet metal. The smallest crash or heavy flexing of the cover can crack it.

Overall I am pleased with this heli, I have owned many types and this is by far the best one. The price is right inline for this R/C Heli. If the tail boom motor was upgraded to a stronger one and the hood was a little stronger I would say this is a perfect heli for anyone. Its easy to fly and can be flown even by those who have never flown a Heli before. Great purchase.

Pros: The Double Horse is a larger upscale version of the small Remote operated Helicopters. That being noted, I found out the hard way that it crashes much like a large helicopter but without a actual pilot. It flew well but as with any rough flying conditions. The weather can be bad for flying. I happen to fly the double horse 9053 in windy conditions and found out the hard way what wind can do to plastic. The wind knocked loose the main compartment body from the snap tabs in mid flight. And as a result the main cab compartment locked up the rotor blades in flight which caused sudden loss of power that brought the double horse to the ground from a height of 300 feet. I actually had time to witness the cause of the malfunction before the Double Horse hit the ground at say maybe a 100 mph. My Double horse 9053 crash had actually left a hole in the asphalt pavement.

Cons: Make sure all parts of any flying machine are securely fasten. If you have to use rubber bands for added strength, please do. The replacement parts cost more than what I paid for the original purchase price.

Other Thoughts: My thoughts are if the parts that are more likely to break were much more inline to the actual repair cost of the item value. This product would have a better chance of surviving time on the market. The replacement parts of a cab, landing gear, tail fins and a partial frame should not cost more than the actual cost of the whole product. That did not include shipping. If I had to buy anything electronic related it would be totally ridiculous. There are several parts available to repair this product. But it is only worth fixing if one item breaks. If more than three items break your better off just buying a new one. In that case you would have a lot of parts on hand already for the next repair in which you are guarantee to have.

Pros: Looks nice in the box

Cons: Did not fly more than 2-3 minutes @ 4-5inch altitude. Motor fried and took it to repair facilty. Technichian laughed and said this was the 10th one with the same problem within 1 week.

Other Thoughts: Toy World would not awknowledge faulty product and said it was due to a crash! they were right it crashed from the altitude od 4" on a grass surface.
