An official reproduction of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, the Luke Skywalker (Episode VI) lightsaber features a permanently attached polycarbonate blade with igniting/glowing with LED-powered power-up and power-down lights effects, and motion sensor controlled sound effects---power-up, power-down, idle, movement, and clash---digitally recorded from the movie. The Luke Skywalker (Episode VI) FX Lightsaber requires, but does not include, 6 AA batteries, and is accompanied by a display stand. Following in the wake of the demoralizing defeat suffered in the bowels of Cloud City, Luke Skywalker recovered and participated in an effort, along with Leia, Chewbacca, Lando, R2-D2 and C3P-O, to rescue the carbonite-frozen Han Solo from the clutches of Jabba the Hutt. Later, during the Rebellion's assault on the Imperial Shield Generator on Hoth, Skywalker allowed himself to be captured by the Imperials in the hopes of convincing his father, Darth Vader, to abandon the Dark Side.
