4 out of 5 eggsAfter 14 months still working great

Pros: Low power usage, quick brightness

Cons: Light is mostly directional

Other Thoughts: I've been using this LED bulb since early March 2012. It is still working great and I've had zero issues with it

1 out of 5 eggsburnt

Pros: Good light as long as they last which is not too long.

Cons: The DELAY turn-on swith fails after about a year. The result is a blinking off and on of the bulb which make it worthless.

Other Thoughts: This was a rip-off, because they KNEW it was "bad".
WARNING. DO NOT BUY LED BULBS with a DELAY ON. THEY ARE PRONE TO FAILURE because of the switch, not because of the LEDs.

1 out of 5 eggsLong life questionable

Pros: Nice light when it works. Great expectations.

Cons: I ordered these in Feb 2012 and already one has failed in 6 months. The 1 sec delay mechanism fails and the light continually blinks.

Other Thoughts: I don't trust LED lamps with a turn-on delay. The LEDs are reliable but the internal electronics are not.

1 out of 5 eggswhat is the color temperature

Pros: none - bogus tech specs

Cons: won't buy a product where the supplier won't provide tech specs that make sense

Other Thoughts: Note: the color temp is a single number, eg, 3100K

3 out of 5 eggsNot really a 60 watt

Pros: Energy efficient

Cons: Another manufacturer stretching the truth on light output. A simple search will show you that 40w=450 lumens and 60w=800 lumens. This bulb outputs 630 lumens which is somewhere in between. It's deceptive to tell consumers it's a 60w equivalent when it's not.

Other Thoughts: I really like the LED technology but I'm not buying a single bulb until manufacturers start accurately listing their light output. I don't recall ever seeing this problem with CFLs.

2 out of 5 eggsWay too expensive for non-dimmable!

Pros: Should fit a common lamp socket.

Cons: Typical specs, but high price per Watt. This is a generic bulb, sold by Aluratek. It is available under many names, but at a lower price.

Other Thoughts: Wow, I can't imagine Newegg selling many of these. This 60W, non-dimmable, bulb is WAY OVERPRICED!. There are many other choices of equal or better quality out there. Most quality brands, such as Philips, are asking premium price for their unique bulbs, but Aluratek is NOTHING SPECIAL. Shop for lumens. projected life, and customer satisfaction info and you'll find many alternatives to this bulb.

1 out of 5 eggsNot 60W Equivalent

Pros: Probably OK as a 40W Light

Cons: 60W incandescent light bulbs produce 800 to 850 lumen. This bulb only produces 490 to 630. It is not a 60W equivalent. 630 lumen is way below 60W equivalence, and 490 lumen is pathetic.

Other Thoughts: I don't know why there is such a wide range of brightness in this product. 490 to 630 seems like a lot. Does it vary with wall voltage, or is there that much variance in the product itself? If so, they need to improve their process control.

4 out of 5 eggsHot!

Pros: Good even light coverage. Soft light that's easy on the eyes but still brightens an entire 10' x 12' room using only 8 watts.

Cons: Hot! After about 2 hours its to hot to touch without burning yourself. I was looking for light that gave off less heat than a cfl, this is not it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: My Tech Knowledge is Low when it comes to LED lights as this is my first one and i was worried if it would be bright enough for a small room or for an end table lamp. So i cannot offer any technical details but can tell you this bulb is bright enough for what i planned on using it for. Currently Im using this bulb for my bedroom. its a12 feet wide by 16 feet long room and this bulb does the trick. The light is a nice white. To be honest at first I wish it was maybe a lil brighter but im use to it now and im satisfied. If you plan to use this light for a end table or bedroom lamp then it will def be bright enough however if you have a large room you may want something a lil more brighter.
ItAll in all this light gets a would by again and a recommend to a friend review.

Cons: The Price, if not purchased on sale.
As always Newegg shipped promptly

Other Thoughts: For me and my uses i i wanted a light bright enough for a lamp or small room and this light is just about right. I would not recommend any light less than 60 Watt Equivalent if you plan on using it for what i use it for.
