5 out of 5 eggsbest backpack ever!

This review is from: Timbuk2 Black Showdown laptop backpack 361-3-2001

Pros: It's very sturdy and plenty of room. Multiple pockets have velvet lining so your cell, tab, laptop doesn't get scratched up.

It has a custom-fit strap design which makes it more comfortable to wear and I sling it over my left shoulder with my right arm and it lands perfectly and nice and tight unlike the Coleman i bought at a local retailer where it would slide off. I think it has something to do with their trademarked swing around access, I love it!

The back is ventilated and also, some of it is made out of nylon so it's water resistant and skid proof!

Last but not least, a lifetime warranty? That's awesome.

Cons: my only regret is i didn't buy a couple of them at the black Friday price of 35, other than that no con's for me!

Other Thoughts: This thing is a lifesaver for me at work, i will eventually use it for hiking as well, i give it an A+.

3 out of 5 eggsNot built for larger laptops

This review is from: Timbuk2 Black Showdown laptop backpack 361-3-2001

Pros: Compartmentalization. You can organize your stuff using the multiple pockets that they provide. It can also hold your bottle on the side, though it is not made wider bottles. It only just holds my metal water bottle, which is about two inches in diameter. Has a very long pocket, which is ideal for long cables and a power brick. Also very lightweight.

Cons: Within the first few weeks of use, there are some loose strands here and there. I'm not pleased to see fraying. Furthermore, even though the Timbuk2 website states that this backpack works for my laptop (an MSI GT60 0NC), it just barely fit. I REALLY had to struggle to get it in there. It was a two-man job. When I was done, it looked like my zipper would pop from a wrong move. I was disappointed. It doesn't have much capacity in general.

Other Thoughts: Seems like a nice backpack in general. I'd love to try and use it for a thinner laptop, since that seems to be what it's built for. Otherwise, it just doesn't do what it was advertised to do.
