4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: EXCELLENT light output. Bright white light, well-focused.
Very comfortable to wear for extended periods (8-10 hours, but see cons about AAA life.. need spare set)
Adjustments work well.
Appears to be rugged construction, but only time and work-abuse will tell (auto maintenance, under the hood, under the car. house maintenance, crawl-space and attic)

Cons: AAA cells. WHEN will makers realize the HUGE gains in battery life offered by AA cells?
NiMH AA can be found in 2800mAh everywhere...
3200mAh can be found at photography departments, and electronics shops.
NiMH AAA usually top out at 800mAh

Other Thoughts: I borrowed one of these. Excellent light output...
but the battery life is atrocious.
I own a similar unit that uses 4 AA cells.
Using 3200mAh I have gotten 30 hours on low, and 10-12 hours on high (very! bright) (two nights in a row, no charge in between)
I have a 2-D cell LED MagLite that I use 10,000mAh cells in.
I have used it regularly for over SIX months and it is still bright. I have one of these Mags in the trunk of all my vehicles.

If this HeadLamp used AA cells, I would add one to each glove-box...

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome brightness

Pros: Really impressed with the light output on this unit for the price. Even the red lights are bright.
Great at work and while working on the car. Very handy for when I replaced the transmission. Used it with a hat on and a helmet with no issues. Angle adjustment solidly clicks into position and stays.

Cons: Leaves marks on your head if worn for a while, but I would think most headlamps would.

Other Thoughts: Would definitely buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks nice

Pros: Very Bright and I like the hands free option

Cons: I was hoping to use it on my bicycle helmet but it really won't work due to the shape of the helmet. Not the fault of the light though. I only included it here in case anyone else is thinking of that application.

5 out of 5 eggsCree Sensor+ Adv XP-C Super Bright LED Headlamp Flashlight, Handsfree On-Off Switch

Pros: Was somewhat sceptical of claims, but after reading other reviews, decided to gamble. All of the other headband mounted "help" lights (and even the ball cap beak mount unit), pale in comparison. This light is acceptably comfotable to wear, and gives an incredibly useful amount of light. The light is similar to a bicycle headlamp in that it give a nice even light in both the 1X and the 4X setting (continuous focus of zoom range for different beam spreads of light). My headlamps on my tractor went out (still working on the fix for that), and I needed to finish a project I was working on. It was very dark, and this little puppy lit it up area my headlights served quite admirably. Because all of these battery operated, high intensity type lights want to gobble batteries, I'm using NiMh rechargeable ones and they hold up well ( I do carry a spare charged set with me - Insurance!) The hands off feature seemed a little "tacky" but has come in handy. Just a wave of your hand in the front of it, and voila, the light turns on and off, and in the set settings. Note: It doesn't care if you have gloves on!). Haven't used it to service under a vehicle, yet, but when I'll need to, you can be sure I'll have ti available to try. Ever try changing a tire in the dark with a conventional flashlight? This is a must have for the glove compartment.
Since the car tire "knows" that you're fully prepared, and will be able to see what you're doing, you may never get a flat in the first place (subtle humor intended). Will probably buy yet another, particularly if I can get a "deep discount" on the internet ( below the $20 I paid)) will probably test my charge card retraints. Mybe I'll get lucky. Shipping was acceptably prompt and packaging was decent. No damage. Came in a padded envelope, and the Postal folks didn't "drive over it"!
Bottom line, I love the light, and am super pleased with it !!

Cons: None really, only possibility might be to make it a little smaller, but there's lot of features to fit in to it, and it's aready in a small convenient package.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This unit has been strapped on my hard hat for the last month. Very bright. I have used it every work day, it has stood up well to the abuse of construction. Switches still work well despite dirt and dust.
Works well hinged down for reading prints, I try to keep it pointed down to avoid blinding coworkers.
Motion switch works well.
Great price, $16, works much better than the ones from the big box stores.

Cons: Blinking red SOS?
