4 out of 5 eggsGood Lamp

Pros: This replacement bulb rocks. I tried one of the $30 after market bulbs. It was terrible. The picture got so dim after a week that I ended up putting the original back in. This bulb costs around 3 times as much but is worth it. Well worth it!

Cons: nada

Other Thoughts: slow shipping due to some random delay but the seller stayed in touch through out the process. I feel good about them considering.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bulb!

Pros: Bulb w housing was plug and play. Took only 5 minutes to install. It was so easy I made an install video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1q48ul69rw and the bulb took a minute to heat up but was super bright and looked fantastic.

Cons: It didn't come with an enema.

Other Thoughts: The shipper that I purchased through, Ness Electronics, was so awesome to deal with. They had excellent communication and met my needs very well. I highly recommend you purchase from them.

4 out of 5 eggsBright but...

Pros: Packaging & shipping time exceeded my expectations. The lamp is exceptionally bright and clear. This lamp, which includes the housing is a great value. Sony still asks $247 at their site. So far, this lamp seems to be equal in most respects.

Cons: This being the 6th replacement lamp, I don't recall previous lamps taking so long to reach full brightness. Screen is completely dark at first, and slowly improves over the space of a minute.

Other Thoughts: Having tried a replacement lamp in the $30-$50 range, I would urge "buyer-beware". The reflective coating on it peeled in one week, rendering a picture too dark to be of any value.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

Pros: Appropriately packaged, genuine product.

Cons: None so far, which is the way a light bulb should be. I mean, it's a freaking light bulb.

Other Thoughts: If you're concerned like I was about truly finding the genuine bulb that the manufacturer used, look no further. Only difference I can find is that the bulbs today are manufactured in China. Upon original manufacturing of the tv, the bulbs were manufactured in Germany and directly installed into the unit.

Bottom line, this is as close as you can get to the original manufacturers bulb today.

4 out of 5 eggsReally bright!

Pros: Ungodly bright compared to the cheap knock-off piece-of-trash bulb it replaced. TV turned right on and the bulb just kept getting brighter despite the fact that I had enabled power save mode. I found myself wishing for sunglasses after a couple seconds.

Cons: The Allen key that comes with it is ridiculously short. I ended up dropping it into the TV ... had to slide it out of the TV stand in order to get it back. Oops.

Other Thoughts: Use a different Allen key. Other than that ... it's really, really bright.

4 out of 5 eggsSony DLP TV bulb

Pros: Almost as good as the original bulb. I did lot of research before deciding to buy this bulb. This is the same Philips bulb Sony used, however the difference is the original bulb was made in Belgium and this is made in China as you would expect these days. Other brands are cheaper but my research tells me they are not a durable or not as bright. I hope it lasts as long as the original bulb (7 years). Replacing the bulb assembly was a 15-20-minute job and very easy. Make sure u read the YouTube instructions video.

Cons: Little bit more expensive but was worth it as it is a Philips brand. Other brands range from$40 - $75 but this brand was $99 with shipping. The price difference spread over the life of the bulb (6-7 years) is insignificant.

4 out of 5 eggsHigh-quality replacement

Pros: 1. A genuine Philips Product.
2. Much brighter than the no-name replacement bulb it replaced.
3. Relatively easy to install(see cons.)

Cons: 1. The hex-key that comes with this model is barely long enough to do the job, it'll take alot of half-turns to get the unit installed.

Other Thoughts: Compared to the Osram and no-name bulbs i used previously, this bulb is considerably brighter. I will never use anything except a Philips branded bulb again.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked out well

Pros: Good price, fast shipping, product works well (so far). My Sony KDFE60A20 started to turn off-and-on randomly so I changed the bulb and it's good as new. This is a 132W, Philips bulb with housing and not a knock-off.

Cons: None, except the Newegg product description says "...KDFE60A2" instead of "KDFE60A20" (probably just ran out of space to list the proper name).

Other Thoughts: There is a number written with a black marker on the back of the actual bulb. I thought any residue on the lamp reduces it's life?

5 out of 5 eggsThe right lamp

Pros: Newegg is the best. The bulb was packaged for protection and came already in the housing.

Cons: haven't found any yet..

Other Thoughts: This is a Philips lamp. The one you should buy. Some places will send you the Osram which has a shorter ife span at the same price. Make sure it's a Philips bulb.

5 out of 5 eggsDLP lamp and frame

Pros: WOW... I never noticed the incremental dimming of my original bulb over the past 5 years, this new bulb is literally like day versus night compared to the old bulb.
---
They included instructions, and an Allen wrench, it was an easy install.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: great shipping time, and I appreciate the courtesy of sending instructions and a somewhat unique tool, it's a regular size Allen wrench, but it's a little longer than some common ones you may have, like the ones on the key-ring type loops that many people have.
