Not for Heavy Duty
Pros: Classic Maglite looks, carrying pouch that doesn't get too loose over time, decent battery life with rechargeables, aluminum shell can take a beating, very bright when working.
Cons: Poor reliability (for a Maglite) - currently the tailcap won't stay tight, the tailcap spring is worn out, and the LED's will only momentarily flash when I switch it on. Unintended activation - this is a twist-light, so when carried in the included pouch, it can easily turn itself on if you're walking around. Annoying flasher/SOS mode - one twist turns on the light; turning it on again quickly puts it in flash mode; turning it off and on again puts it in SOS mode. You have to turn it off and on again for regular flashlight mode. I can see how this helps Mag Industries fill out checkboxes to compare with other lights, but these are useless features that just get in the way, especially in conjunction with the tailcap problem (the light will shut off and enter flash mode while you're using it if the tailcap loses its connection even momentarily, which is very convenient when you're crawling halfway into a machine, let me tell you).
Other Thoughts: I've currently had my minimag for about 15 months. In that time, I've used it 6 days out of every week. I really wanted to like this flashlight but it has greatly disappointed me. I've had a 6D-cell Maglite for about 15 years now which I've been very satisfied with. So when I needed a light at work, I got the minimag. Based on my experience with the 6D, I thought it would be tough enough to work every day. Unfortunately it is not. For someone who only occasionally uses a flashlight, I'm sure this will give them years of great service, but for someone who uses it every day, this is not a great choice.

Stop That Or You'll Go Blind..
Pros: 1. Brightness at full power is 69 lumens!
Cons: 1. So bright on full power, you can suffer temporary blindness if you look directly into the beam. Well, it says so in the user's book, and I believe them... 8^Þ
Other Thoughts: This really is a nice light - probably the best I have in the house, including the big ol' D Cell standard Mag. This is just plain brighter.
