4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: flexible head, strong magnet, decent light output, extension wand

Cons: Manufacturer does NOT indicate there is a nearly-invisible plastic disc preventing the battery from making contact. It has to be removed, but it is difficult to find and remove. They should put an instruction about this as well as put a colored stripe on the transparent disk.

3 out of 5 eggsMIC (Made in China)

Pros: Once you get it configured, the light works as it should. The flexible neck and magnet are nice features for working on cars and other places where you might drop things.

Cons: No instructions in the packaging about the clear plastic cover over the end of one of the batteries that you need to remove to make it work. Because of the way the battery carrier is designed and because the cover is transparent, you can't readily see the cover.

One of the flashlights was missing the cap off the end, even though it was in the sealed packaging. Poor quality control at the assembly plant in China. But the seller's customer service sent out a free replacement flashlight right away.

Other Thoughts: The seller's customer service saved this sale. They explained how to get the lights to work and sent a replacement flashlight right away for the one missing the end cap. Otherwise I probably would have just returned the lights for a refund.

4 out of 5 eggsHandy Gadget

Pros: This is a Great little Light that can do things that a common flashlight can't do and thanks to the flexible shaft You can shape it to stay where You need it leaving your with Hands free to work. The magnetic Head is a plus and can retrieve dropped fasteners or any metallic/magnetic item that is lost in a place that Your Fingers can't go and the light in the middle of the magnetic ring will lead the tool right to the place You're looking at, That's a really "Trick' idea.

Cons: The Magnetic Head is a little large making it difficult to get in some tight spots around an Engine compartment and one of Mine had two clear plastic spacers covering the + or positive end of the battery so it wouldn't make contact and run down the Batteries which is great if You see both of them. I didn't at first but after taking it apart again, I noticed it and removed the second spacer and it worked fine.

Other Thoughts: This is a Great tool to have for emergencies and at this price, 2 for 20 bucks, it makes a killer gift for Men or women and Kids are fascinated by them as well and will play with them long after the batteries die because they can pick up things with the magnet, just keep them away from your hard drives and other magnet sensitive devices.

4 out of 5 eggshandy

Pros: very handy for when you need to see into a tight area

the magnetic head is actually quite strong. stronger than i was expecting anyways.

the flex head was a big plus for when im working on my pc or on my truck.

Cons: the batteries that this uses are the little button cell ones. so be forewarned.

since some people don't know. the batteries are in the head. and it does take some pretty brawny hands or a pair pliers to get it off. and inside the head is a little black tube with the batteries and on the top is a little plastic cover. take that out and your light will work. (had to find that out the hard way)

Other Thoughts: for what this is its a great little tool. personally i wouldnt go walking around outside in the dark with this light but thats just me.

1 out of 5 eggsdoes not work

Pros: magnetic and telescoping head - great idea

Cons: Does not work.
From reading the reviews here I understood why it didn't work - take plastic from batteries. Problem = cannot find the batteries. Since there are NO INSTRUCTIONS anywhere - not even a poor drawing, I cannot even find where the batteries are. Only part of the flashlight that screws off is the cap at the bottom used to keep the telescoping section connected to the metal shaft of the flashlight. Emailed the seller for help and was told " The batteries goes at the top portion of the flashlight were the light is. Twist off the cap and you will be able to see were the battery is at."
Um, as I had stated there is no section of the flashlight at all other than the bottom cap that has a seam to even come apart. And nothing screws off at all other than the bottom cap.
Heck, if it hadn't been for other feedback, you would never know you had to do anything with the batteries.
Again, great idea for product but horrible execution of putting out that idea. Asking for refund since the flashlights are useless to me.
Glad they worked for others but I still can't even find where the batteries are.
Would give 0 eggs if I could.

Other Thoughts: I will give the seller props on fast shipping and even for answering my email though bad props on not giving very DETAILED instructions with the flashlight or to my email. I specifically stated that I couldn't figure out where the batteries where and he just said "the top portion of the light". If someone states that they already cannot find figure out where something is - GIVE THEM VERY DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS. That is what they are asking for.

4 out of 5 eggsVery useful tool

Pros: LED light for pickup in dark, hard to reach areas, flexible gooseneck head

Cons: Magnet not very strong, lens are likely to get scratched up

Other Thoughts: There's a right tool for every job and this combines both a magnetic pickup tool and a flashlight in one.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdated review

Pros: Bright light, strong magnet

Cons: Didn't work until the manufacturer e-mailed to ask if I removed the plastic from the battery connection - it's a TRANSPARENT plastic piece that stayed in place even when removing and replacing the battery from the holder - I finally found the plastic and now they work. Would have been 5 eggs except for the difficulty - no notice on the packaging, no mark on the plastic indicating it's presence. Could be packaged much better.

5 out of 5 eggsTooluxe LED Telescoping Flashlight

Pros: Fantastic Buy! I don't know what the other dude was thinking. The batteries are in plastic. Unwrap them and then put them back in. Clueless? Coolest flashlight yet. Picked up many things dropped behind other things. I totally recommend this tool. Buy this! You will be happy!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Life is too short! Buy tools that will make your life easier. This is one!

1 out of 5 eggsCute, but they don't work

Pros: extending goose-neck light and attached magnet

Cons: They don't work. I don't know if the batteries are dead on arrival, and I have a cast on my right fractured ankle so I can't get new ones to see - nevertheless, if they are advertised as coming with batteries they should be functional, not DOA.

Other Thoughts: I'll start on a RMA, though I don't know if the shipping to return them is worth it.
