It definitely made the moon look much clearer but not as much as I had hoped for. Cons: Not really a con because it's an entry telescope so all of my complaints would be silly for what I paid for. Other Thoughts: We bought this for our 12 year old daughter for Christmas. The telescope comes with interchangeable optics. Everything looks good until you switch optics. Cons: Looked at the moon last night and the telescope would not focus good enough to see well defined craters. Tripod will not allow vertical tilt to see stars overhead. I had an 80 power reflector years ago that gave a crisp view of the moon and craters. I'm not sure what the different lenses are for yet. Cons: This thing has almost ZERO instructions or directions. I figured out how to put it together by the picture on the box.
