Cons: - NAS function is a joke

Pros: Great to have a combo modem/router. Easy set up, easy admin panel to tweak reserved IP's, forward ports, etc. Wifi is as expected for any N router.

Cons: Doesn't get 300mb/s with time warner :( but i doubt i'll ever go up from 100 which works great.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommended. Owned for almost two years and hasn't quit yet!

Pros: -Pretty much just plug and play with both setup and the USB port
-Worked well on Cox and TWC
-Fast (as much as advertised)
-Confuses cable guy as he's expecting 2 devices

Cons: -So many lights
-Lights aren't well labeled
-not the N600 model that should be faster

Other Thoughts: Do recommend as saves on having to have a modem and a router, though it does confuse the cable guy when he comes and there's only one device

Pros: affordable- at first

Cons: died after on year

Other Thoughts: after one year it died, prior to that is would reset at least 4 times a day then finally all the ethernet ports went out,not one of them worked. Since I work from home a fast connection is a must. had to run out and purchase another netgear router- lets see how long this one works

Pros: I bought this over a year ago for the good price for the modem and wifi router in 1. It's nice to have less cables and save some space but that's where the benefits for this unit end.

Cons: I agree with many of the negative comments here so this will be short. I've had this about a year and am now looking for something new. My speed over the wired line is 20. Over wifi less than 1. And that's standing right next to the unit. Boooo.

Pros: not sure

Cons: After using it for 14 months, this modem now seems to have some kind of timer. Every time I reboot it, it will work for about 15 minutes and then it will lose the internet connection completely. I'm so disappointed.

Pros: - Ethernet works good (60 MBPS down, 20 MBPS up; numbers line up with the service provider).
- USB port is nice for storage

Cons: The wireless is horrible. It was slow in the beginning (8 months ago), but blamed it on service provider. Last week it has gotten to a crawl - I can't even log into Gmail on wireless. When I can connect to speedtest, I get 0.5-2.0 MBPS down and 1.0 MBPS up. That is across several devices, all within 5 feet of the router.

Called customer support in order to try a hardware warranty replacement. They insisted that we go though "software" support first in order for them to reconfigure the network and update the router. Because it has been past 90 days, I had to pay for 6 months of support, something like $70 or $80.

I've been a network administrator in the past - I know what they are going to do and know it is not going to help. I asked to just do the hardware warranty, and they refused to do so until I pay for the software warranty first.

Best part - the customer service rep confirmed that my hardware warranty is good for another 100 days (January), but still refused to do anything about it until I pay for 6 months software service support.

What a scam - be aware if you buy - your hardware warranty may be 1 year on contract, but in practice it is 90 days: the same as their software report.

Unfortunately, they lost my future business - shame too as their other products have been good to me.

Other Thoughts: Had they just sent me a warranty replacement router and then return my defective unit, I would have been happy with the product and service.

The fact that I must pay additional for bogus software support in order to get the hardware warranty (which I'm still entitled to!) is absolutely horrific and a scam.

Pros: Router/modem combo

Cons: Slow. I have 55 mbps when hard wired to PC and get a max of 15 mpbs over wifi. Average is ~10 mpbs. I've called netgear support and they want $79.99 for 6 months of support before they even talk to you.

Pros: All in one cable modem and wireless router

Cons: I stop using the it after a few months and just rented from my ISP, FIOS . Very happy with my conventional (Verzon FIOS) conventional Wireless Cable Modem.
Wireless signal is excellent.

Pros: All in one cable modem and wireless router.

Cons: I was getting IP conflicts many times per day. When I called support, The techs could not solve this issue. I had this problem from day one. Could not get the NAT to work. While working on my computer my internet would fail a few times in an hour. If I tried a different computer it would take the ip of the other computer that stopped working. Netgear's RMA policy is to have the customer pay for the return shipping and send defective product back. They will then send out replacement..if this is what you use for internet access you will have to be without until they send a new one out. Could be awhile

Other Thoughts: I would never buy a Netgear product again.
