Other Thoughts: i bought some memorex dvd-r's and a spindle of Sony dvd-rw's a year ago for watching movies. i shrink dvd movies from my library down (heavy compression) and burn them on a single dvd, watch them, erase them and repeat. movies burned like this are usually compressed by up to 50% to fit it on a single disc. over the past year the sony's have given me nothing but trouble. its been read error after read error. they worked a few times but thats about it. the memorex dvd's worked flawlesly under the same conditions. i have one disc with a language learning program i have played over 300 times and its just now starting to have read errors. because of this i decided to buy a 10 pack of these dvd'rws. i have watched a couple dozen movies so far. one movie compressed to 55%. thats pretty extreme and the Memorex dvd's have been working flawlesly so far. the one movie compressed to 55% did stop for a second in several places but picked up where it left off without jumping foreward. pretty impressive. not sure how they will hold upover time but if they do as well as the older ones i bought they should do very well. definately picking up a few more 10 packs of these.
