For precise work there's a pulse button, and the "grate" button also functions as an "easy-clean" control for quickly cleansing the 40-ounce, scratch-resistant glass container with soap and water during multi-batch work with the same food. (The container is also dishwasher-safe.) The blender's stainless-steel blade-assembly removes for cleaning. The container is calibrated in both ounces and liters, and its plastic lid contains a 2-ounce measuring insert.
