5 out of 5 eggsBe real people!

Pros: Price ($30)
construction is solid and scratch proof (dropped on a running treadmill several times)
stable OS (after firmware upgrade)
rooted OS (for you developers out there)
wifi
music
google play
works well for simpler games
great music quality for headphone jack
android jellybean 4.0 (soon to be kitkat. I contacted manufacturer and they said in a month or two they would come out with an update)

Cons: battery life (2 hours with screen and wifi, 8 hours with just music and wifi and screen off. standby is only a day or two)
get warm in lower corner (during heavy usage)
browser lags
can't get a real screen protector
wish it had bluetooth
another odd, but-not-noticed-by-average-joe flaw is you can't use headphones with built in mic or headphones with 4 contact points on the adapter. This is because the device does not have a tab to accept microphone input.

Other Thoughts: I bought this device at first thinking I was getting a glorified music player; I was surprised. For starters look around the market for $30-40 mp3 players. Here's a list of flaws with most of them:

The suck
no touch screen or resister touch screens (which are poor)
no playlist abilities
horrible sound (yes that is true for most)
no real eqaulizer or cheap one that does nothing
poor battery
laggy interface
few options
no wifi
cheap design

I know there are more, but those are the biggest ones I can think of right now. I got a great music app that played using folders as playlists (much easier on PC to control) and a few games. I can check email, chat, google plus, play a few games, and even make wifi calls. DON'T LISTEN TO THOSE LOW REVIEWS! those are people coming in with way too many expectations for a $30 device. Look at it as a glorified music player and you might find other features useful. Overall amazing buy. Would buy again. Do recommend for mp3 player.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Amazing device for the price. Will run pretty much any app except for heavy 3D games. Rooting is very easy.

The ROM is pretty much stock Android with a few preinstalled apps.

Cons: For the price, the cons are very small.

You won't get more than a couple hours of screen time. The screen is glossy, which makes it very hard to use outside even on cloudy days. The audio from the speaker is ok, although it's on the back facing away from you. With headphones there is a very noticeable background noise. The camera is just bad.

Internal storage is small. If you want to use the MicroSD card for apps (and not just media), you have to root and edit vold.fstab. This is mostly Google's fault though.

Other Thoughts: Extremely good value overall. Developers will find this device great for compatibility testing, and parents won't have to worry about giving this to their kids.

The default CPU governor seems to be very aggressive about trying to save battery life, and rarely allows the CPU to clock up to the full 1.2GHz. To get the best performance you should install a CPU control app (such as No-frills CPU Control) and change the governor to a less restrictive one (such as fantasy).

4 out of 5 eggsWorks for my one use!

Pros: Cheap. Solid body for plastic. I got this to reclaim my tablet from work. I stream Pandora all day. 11 Hour days.

Cons: Buttons are weakest part. Flimsy. Too close to each other

Other Thoughts: other than initial set up all I have done is stream music so I can not comment on much else.

5 out of 5 eggsBrilliant

Pros: Cheap and works.

Cons: Who cares, it's $35.

Other Thoughts: I can't believe people are complaining about this thing. Have some perspective people. It's $35. Do you expect it to work like an iPad? This thing is amazing for hobby projects. It's basically a Raspberry Pi - but one that comes with Wifi, a battery, a nice enclosure, a touchscreen, and the entire library of Android apps at your disposal. Mount it on a wall as a music player Kiosk. Put it in your car, or on a bike. Download XBMC and use it as an Airplay receiver (for 1/3rd the price of an Airport Express). Countless possibilities.

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy

Pros: Small. Thats it!

Cons: Battery is horrible. I mean real bad. My son can't use it more than 20-45min without having to charge it again.

Other Thoughts: Save your money and buy something much better. I wasn't expecting the best to begin with but you get what you pay for.

2 out of 5 eggsslow but cheap

Pros: cheap, surfs net fine

Cons: gets hot, very slow, even for the price it has a very short battery life. less than 45 min.

Other Thoughts: bought a second of a different brand but same price. it is slow too as I expected, but it does not get hot and has a 2 hour battery life. in short it is much better than the iview one.
