4 out of 5 eggsFast enough, light, poor display, good battery

Pros: The light-weight design met my expectations, the keyboard is good, but not great - though compared to other products of similar size I'm really happy with the keyboard. The screen tilts back enough that it isn't a problem.

Cons: One of the reasons I purchased this product was due to the poor screen resolution (I know that sounds backwards), but the idea was that this would be a feature that didn't provide me much value but would extend the battery life due to not having to power pixels that I didn't need to start with. As it turns out, the 1366x768 display *is* just a little too small for me (loading up google docs and having the columns cut off in significantly less space of my legacy - 8 year old, laptop was a bit of a sad surprise - not trying to use this for gaming or video editing, but spreadsheets should at least not hurt the eyes or require tons of scrolling). Grabbed an external monitor with higher resolution, and an external keyboard and this issue was moot at home. For traveling it's fine that the display is small.

One major disappointment (though perhaps I should know better) is that this does not ship with 256GB of memory, rather 217GB - I believe the rest is some factory installed backup drive by Toshiba on a hidden drive that I could probably remove if I wasn't lazy, but it was disappointing. And no, I'm not talking about the difference between 1,000 and 1,024 in counting kB,MB,GB. The total space on the C drive when delivered is a capacity of 233,722,343,424 bytes (217GB), and obviously a chuck of that is already used for the OS, etc. but having more than 10% of my purchased memory not available was less than good.

Other Thoughts: I've had this laptop for just over 2 months now.
