Simply flip the switch on the handle to "floor", which turns on just the canister motor, or to "carpet", which turns on both the canister motor and the power-nozzle motor. There's also four-position height adjustment depending on the height of the carpet.

A quick-release pedal frees the telescopic aluminum wand from the power nozzle, while the included on-board accessories allow for more tailored cleaning.
