Minimizes number of spliced/soldered connections. Allows easy removal and reinstall if you want to sell your ride and keep your aftermarket head end. Cons: None! Other Thoughts: I actually disassembled this connector to add pins for an auxiliary input into another adapter after I initially used this to check out my new radio in my CRV.
