Detatchable canister giving you the option to use as canister vac. Strong suction for use on carpets but yet works excellent on our bare floors. In the past I preferred the broom/dustpan for cleaning bare floors but this vacuum is so lightweight and easy to maneuver that I now only use this vacuum. Does a great job on the bare floors and does not spit dirt back out. I have dark green carpet in one room that is impossible to clean but this does a super job at grabbing all the dust, cat hair, and dirt. Overall great vacuum! Cons: Only thing I'm not crazy about is that there is not onboard storage for ALL of the tools. You can only keep two tools onboard.
