2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Compact size. Keyboard and mouse capabilities in the same device.

Cons: Touchpad registers taps as left clicks. This wouldn't be bad if it recognized actual taps accurately. Almost every time I try to move the mouse cursor with the touchpad, it responds as if I am tapping the touchpad. I have to be very careful, and still usually start dragging icons around my start screen (Windows 8.1) or opening programs that I don't want to open. There is no software to control the touchpad settings on this device that I have found to modify this behavior.

Also, it would be very beneficial to have included some sort of backlight for the keys. There is no way to tell what keys you're clicking by feel as everything is layed out in a straight rectangular pattern. I was trying to use this last night in the living room with the lights off. I had to lean forward in my chair and tilt the face of the keyboard toward my TV screen just to have enough light to see the keys.

Other Thoughts: The size and rechargeability make the idea of this keyboard much more suitable for my HTPC than the infrared remote WMC keyboard I had been using. I no longer have to worry about holding a full size keyboard just right to point the front of this full-sized keyboard at the IR sensor.

5 out of 5 eggsVery cool

Pros: Well if you are looking for a way to control that Media-PC from the bed this tinny low cost thing will get it done, and is still getting it done for me.

This thing is so cool the apple fan-boys want one for the apple TV. lol I have no clue if it works on mac but i will check and re-post.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: Just make sure you have line of sight with USB-adapter on the front of the PC.

2 out of 5 eggsUnreliable

Pros: The keys are great, and the layout is very comfortable, the mouse pad is very responsive, keypad might miss some letters if you type real fast but still can type with a reasonable enough speed for me to be comfortable with, rechargeable battery is big plus, its exactly the type of item I was looking for if it were not for its cons.

Cons: Intermittant issues that completely make device difficult to use...mouse stops responding to pad touchs, or starts flying in random directions, or just becomes extremely laggy...I thought it was a range issue but have same problem even when I bring the device up close to receiver...I fully charged the battery overnight and still same issue happens...tried moving all my cellphones away and no fix either...

seems to work perfect for few mins and then has the problem again for few mins...and this problem just keeps cycling

Other Thoughts: I bought mine from electronic-bay though not from newegg...

No real support on manufacturer website other than a down-loadable manual...they do have a customer support number which I have not tried though.

5 out of 5 eggsMini Keyboard

Pros: The device is very small for a keyboard, which is great for a computer remote which is hooked up to my TV. The range is great from the couch. Also being a rechargeable device is a plus.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome mini solution

Pros: This is a great little wireless solution for any HTPC. It's comfortable to use, is very light weight, has a thoughtful layout, and a nice tactile feel. It also gives you multiple options for the mouse buttons which is a nice feature and makes it hard for your fingers to get lost.

The ability to use either the included Li battery or some AA's is a simple and yet ingenious feature. Not having to worry about an Li battery failure and hunting a new one down is just awesome.

Cons: The only real con that kept me from giving this 5 stars was the instruction manual (or lack thereof). There's pretty much no instructions what so ever. So unless you're a fairly adept person, don't plan on this working for anything and everything you plug it into. It wasn't compatible with any of my Smart TV's which was the original reason I bought it. It did however find a home with my main HTPC and I've been loving it there.

Additionally, the included charging cord is way too thin and gets very hot very quickly. I was actually concerned it was a potential fire hazard and switched to an extra Mini-B usb plug cable I had from a digital camera.

Other Thoughts: This really is a great, inexpensive solution to an HTPC remote and offers so much more functionality. The only real issue for me was compatibility. It's definitely worth a try if you're in the market for a small wireless solution.

3 out of 5 eggsGets the job done

Pros: Very portable and light. It is fairly well designed with buttons in a pretty usable format. Great for presentations or for use as a couch remote. Works with both Windows and Android OS.

Cons: Generally requires two hands for use; scrolling requires a button hold with touchpad. The touchpad is also not very easy to use due to a lack of sensitivity and strange texture.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Small and light.
Touch pad is decent even for how small it is.

Cons: Sketchy wireless connection
Buttons work sporadically

Other Thoughts: I would avoid this device. It's not terrible but not great either. I feel like either the buttons are not very reliable or the wireless connection is not great. It seems to need line of sight with the receiver even though it is supposedly 2.4 GHz.
