It works with high-power items such as heaters. It is UL listed. Build quality is solid. Very low price. Cons: Only works with 2-prong plugs. If your appliance has a ground prong, you can't use it. Other Thoughts: I don't trust leaving heaters, toasters, hair dryers, etc plugged in when not using them. We once had a lightning strike which caused an appliance to turn itself on. (Permanently!) This is a great way to disconnect them without wearing out the plugs & outlet. Also useful for lighting & items that do not have a built-in power switch. Did you find this review helpful? Cons: Only works with 2-prong plugs. If your appliance has a ground prong, you can't use it.
