5 out of 5 eggsMulti-Adaptor

Pros: win 8 drivers work out of box
transfer speeds 100+MB/s (true gigabit)
USB 3.0 transferspeeds
Relatively small
Light indicators for USB activity
Light indicators for NETWORK activity
stronger than expected construction.

Cons: sometimes the USB is too short (for the space I have to work in), or the cord does not flex enough...

Other Thoughts: I bought this cause (my gifted to me) Lenovo g780 only has 10/100 network, I've maxed out the 16gb ram, added 500GB solid state, so I could do my heavy processes, but the network would max at 10MB/s (not Mb/s) so I knew it was a bottle neck and this adapter fix it. I run 13 virtual machines (private cloud) all at once on my laptop for work, so this single adapter really helped boost the network performance. and gave me 2 extra USB 3.0 ports

I have been depending on this device for at lease 6months, and it has never failed me.

Lenovo g780
i7-3620qm (Quad Core with HT, 8 threads)
16gb Kingston hyperX
120gb Samsun 840 pro (host OS win 8.1pro)
500gb Samsung 840 Evo w/rapid mode (guest Virtuals) (replaced CD drive)

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good

Pros: Price, additional USB 3.0 ports

Cons: Windows 7 did not find drivers, but not hard to find 'in the wild'

Other Thoughts: Works well on a laptop with a broken internal wired ethernet. Thanks, Toshiba for making me take the laptop apart to install a new drive, and making the connector for the wired ethernet so flimsy and weak (but I digress).

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Extremely convenient.

Cons: Unfortunately, both ethernet port and USB hub keep dropping every couple minutes.

Other Thoughts: In "Device Manger" windows, flashing windows can be observed due to the dropping of connection. Updated driver(8.18) from Realtek doesn't help at all. I am gonna ask RMA and hope next one is better.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Highly convenient to have the usb3-gige integrated and not need yet another dongle.

Cons: In MacOS 10.9 (Mavericks) the ethernet does not always reconnect when the laptop wakes up from sleep. Unplugging and re-plugging solves the problem, but that also means I have to eject any attached disks, which is a royal pain.

1 out of 5 eggsLow quality product with low quality support

Pros: USB works
Cord length

Cons: LAN / LAN driver fails to work
USB drops out occasionally
Poor customer support - broken english, and no trouble shooting

Other Thoughts: I work with networking, data systems, and vehicle software everyday. I purchased this to remain connected to my office network while being able to link to a bench test LAN loom. I tred the Orico website resources, I tried contacting their customer support, and I tried 3rd party resources and nothing could connect via LAN. I will not purchase Orico projucts again.

2 out of 5 eggsIntermittent Operation

Pros: When it works, I have a high speed connection to my network.

Cons: Unfortunately the connection drops and reconnects almost every minute. I tried the drivers on the DVD and then uninstalled them and let windows find some older drivers. Same result. I have Win7 Home Premium. May be my computer or configuration, but did not have this problem with using a Orico USB 3.0 hub and Starttech GB Ethernet adapter plugged in.

The HUB itself does not provide highspeed or any speed for file transfers. Dropped the egg to 1 for effort and because I like other Orico products. The newest Rosewill?

Other Thoughts: Hopefully Orico tech support will offer some help. Could not find any assistance on their website.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is so nice to have...

Pros: USB hub as well as Gigabit Ethernet Dongle what more to be said... everything works great.

Cons: None so far...

Other Thoughts: Native Windows 7 drivers loaded as soon as I plugged it in. I didn't even take out the included driver disk. Windows 7 reported the Gigabit Ethernet port as a :Realtek USB GBE Family Controller.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed.

Pros: -Works flawlessly
-Has indicator lights for each plugin
-Can even charge my iphone.
-Ethernet adapter works well if you are using a laptop without one.

Cons: -The picture here on newegg is not the same as what I got, The need to update it.

Other Thoughts: Besides the picture being wrong, (Which is actually a common thing here on newegg) the device does exactly what it says. Its a good little hub that also includes an ethernet adapter. Thats a pretty nice little combo for a laptop.
