5 out of 5 eggsThe USB Hub I have been waiting for

Pros: Nine-ports plus one -1 AMP power-only port and one 2.4 AMP power port. That's a total of 11 ports! AND the port that connects it to the computer is separate! So, this 9-port USB hub is really 9-ports. Of course, trying to power 9-ports off of a single USB port is not going to work, so they provide the 12V 2.5 AMP adapter as well.

You can turn off banks of three USB ports at a time which seems odd. But, there is a blue light next to each port, so turning off the banks will mean less light pollution if you are using it in your bedroom.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This is the second one I purchased. The number of USB items I have continues to go up and the number of ports on my laptops never changes, so these devices are a great help.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great with USB hard drives and my router

Pros: I got an ASUS router with a single USB 2.0 plug on it. I bought this hub and have several USB hard drives attached through it to the one USB port on the router. The system has been up 24/7 for 6-7 months with no problems. I'd like to try out the fast charging ports but haven't done so yet as this is in my server room and I don't spend a lot of time in there.

Cons: I have found no cons thus far after 6-7 months of 24/7 usage.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Device!

Pros: I love the form factor. The size is perfect for a desktop, and has a ton of IO for the footprint. I really like the USB charging ports for Mobile devices, including a higher amp output for tablets!

Cons: No cons, other than IT TOOK A MONTH TO GET TO ME! I would have given 5 stars if I had known it would take so long. I called in to Newegg around the 2 week mark, and the guy was friendly and helpful. However he had no info on where the shipment might be. It comes from China or Singapore and they won't have tracking info until it hits Stateside. THEN, it would be 3-5 days US Mail. All he asked me was, "do you want to cancel the order for a refund, or do you want another one sent". I had a feeling it would arrive eventually, so I just waited it out. Glad I did!

TLDR: I got it eventually

Other Thoughts: I would order from Newegg again without question.

3 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: Worked when it did

Cons: I contacted orico after placing my review; their site claims their products have a warranty. I sent them support email detailing my experience along with a copy of my invoice and have been awaiting a response every since. They seem to offer no customer support.

Other Thoughts: This was my second orico hub, the first one a 7 port; lasted 7 months before it failed. They're awesome when they work; however offering no support to customers after purchase.

3 out of 5 eggsDied just shy of 2 months

Pros: Worked great for a little awhile.

Cons: Started having issues with devices not being disconnecting and showing as recognized last night, continued on today. One port completely died tried to move device to empty port but the room filled up with smoke, lights started flashing off and on slow even without any power source.

Other Thoughts: Purchased for bitcoin mining, purchase date August 5th 2014. Worked great running 7 miners fine for a few weeks - now I'm hoping I didn't lose my miners due to this hub.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat but...

Pros: 9 ports = Awesome!

Cons: Port #9's LED light doesn't work. Doesn't affect the rest of the hub, but it does affect my rating.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: -Buttons are excellent.
-Doesn't have a cheap feeling.
-Rubber feet prevent it from sliding on my desk
-All devices that I have work with it.

Cons: -Isn't USB 3.0, but I knew that going in.

Other Thoughts: I have tried to find a decent usb hub that won't break the bank. This is by far the best one that I have purchased. I have a few that never really worked right, and the one that I was using were the switches pushed into the unit after a month. I would recommend this hub.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Ths thing has nine USB 2.0 ports that can powered on and off in groups and has two charge ports in one nice sized strip. It is built well to boot.

Cons: Does not have any sort of mounting bracket. Very minor issue.

Other Thoughts: We purchased this hub to use in a lab environment and we have been extremely happy with it. It allows us to connect to up a full bench of elemental analyzers and peripherals to one device which really reduces the number of cords running everywhere. We are now purchasing more to clean up several other lab benches and work stations.

5 out of 5 eggsA "Must Have" for Businesses

Pros: For any business that runs a lot of peripherals (printers, digital cameras, cell phones, etc), or computer techs; this is an invaluable tool. It will increase productivity (eliminates frequent changing of USB devices that may be connected to computer, especially laptops that are USB limited). Having dedicated charging ports (1-5V/1A, 1-5V/2.4A) for cameras and cell phones) reduces tying up valuable USB 2.0 data ports for document/picture transfers. Additional feature of having 3 sets of 3 USB ports that can be switched on/off as needed is an energy saving feature that I think is sorely needed. Stylish and low profile design is a great addition to any office desk. Ease of access to USB ports is great. Blue LED lights that indicate which ports are active is noticeable but not obtrusive. Way to go Orico!

Cons: I cannot find anything bad to say about this device.
