2 out of 5 eggsMixed feeling

Pros: Great looking product and great idea to clean up cables

Cons: 1 of the ports was DOA right out of the box and then another port died 4 months later with minimal use (approx. 6 times)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat USB 3.0 Hub

Pros: Each USB port has its own power switch and LED, the switches have a good strong feel, everything seems tight and solid, nothing is loose. I haven't ran any benchmarks, but this device seems to scream. I have my entire Steam library on an external HDD, running through this hub and you would never know. It has an A/C adapter for charging a tablet / phone /etc. The LEDs are bright.

Cons: I thought I'd read in one of the reviews that the hub was metal. It's not, instead it's a tough plastic, not a big deal but it would have been nice. The LEDs are almost too bright.

Other Thoughts: This Hub allows me to more easily turn on peripherals that I purchased for my laptop. Specifically, a Laptop Cooling pad that sits on my desk, which doesn't have a power button. When the USB for the cooling pad is plugged in, it's just always on. This allowed me to simply reach over and turn it on as needed. (Gaming, etc)

I've also enjoyed the freedom of turning off external HDDs, and Printers to, when not needed.

The vendor was great on this product, too. It's from over-seas, so there was more of a wait than typical from NewEgg, but it arrived in a nice package, and was exactly what I ordered.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat hub

Pros: 7 ports each with its own on off switch and indicator lights

External power that is able to handle multiple high power devices at once.

I have transferred data from a 1.6 GB/s RAID to 4 separate passport style HDDs plugged into this hub and all 4 were 120 MB/s+. I have had other hubs in the past that start to cap out far lower then the USB (2 or 3) are capable of when splitting the signal like that and this one seems to have no issue at all with it. I do not know what this hub actually caps out at in real world use but I have not found it.

Cons: Cons are few however;

The ports are set in a row parallel with the switches, now this has a pleasing look it however makes it so if you have wide flash drives you will have to stagger them to make them fit as the ports are very close to each other. (-0.5 eggs)

The lights on mine after 1+ year have not burned out, however they are noticeably dimmer on the ports i use the most. (They still work so no eggs off for that.)

The ports them selves are a little on the flimsy side. I was not paying close attention and plugged a drive in backwards, now most just will not let it go in at all unless you push very hard. This one bent enough to let my drive go in and (since it was a metal flash drive) short out the hub and when i noticed what I did and pulled it out the plastic inside broke off. The hub powered down and a power cycle it came back up just fine however I can not use that port any more (since the plastic bit inside is broken). (Since this is not, for the most part, the hubs fault only -0.5 eggs)

Other Thoughts: A few things I would like to see on this. The case be metal, more reliable LED's, and a stronger build on the ports themselves.

With all of that said: I would gladly buy another one if I needed another USB 3.0 hub.

5 out of 5 eggsHard to find, worth it.

Pros: I like this for two features: Permanently attached cable and individual power switches.

The attached cable is one less thing to fail. The micro-USB3 connectors on other hubs are fragile and fail in a travel or busy environment, and the detachable blue cables are often too bulky for a laptop bag, although shorter ones are available for separate purchase.

I test USB devices (I am an author of the USB Specification...) I am mobile and need the ability to unplug/replug often, and the switches offer a convenient way to do this.

Cons: The cable is a bit stiff.

The power supply does not provide full USB 3.0 900 mA power for all 7 ports (6.3A) - it only provides 4A (which is sufficient for 7 USB 2.0 devices).

The hub reports that the power supply is available even when it isn't, which can cause unpredictable performance if you don't use the supply, because it is basically lying to the power management software in the host. Nevertheless, if you keep your devices under a total of 900 mA, you can use it without the power supply with no issues.

Other Thoughts: Overall a solid product with the right mix of features for rugged portability.
