4 out of 5 eggsA decent USB hub

Pros: - Works flawlessly with a USB switch to switch this hub between multiple computers.

- Plenty of ports, the dedicated charging ports are really handy for charging my mobile devices.

- Looks nice, and the packaging is very nice too.

Cons: - The USB ports are a little too tight - plugging in something, it feels like you have to force it a little too hard.

Other Thoughts: $50 for a USB hub is definitely on the high end of the spectrum.

5 out of 5 eggsIt Works

Pros: Seems well built and it works with 7 devices plugged. Transferring between multiple devices at the same time doesn't seem to slow it down.

Cons: USB Data cable is to short

Other Thoughts: Sometimes when my computer(win7 64bit) wakes up from sleep the hub does not want to see new devices attached to it. I have to disconnect the hub from the computer and reconnect it. Everything that was previously connected to the hub is still visible by windows, but if I disconnect a device and try to reconnect it, it will not see that device until I disconnect and reconnect the hub to the computer. This happens on rare occasions, because of that I still think is worth buying it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: 7 Powered USB 3.0 ports eliminate all concerns about having so many devices in use at one time (includes slow charging) and provides the best speed available. Add in two charging ports for fast charging and you are done.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This also works just fine with my Smart TV. The USB extension cord eliminates having to fumble around behind the TV searching for a empty USB port. A must have frankly.

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't last long

Pros: For the first month this thing was great. Decent transfer rate and extended my only usb port.

Cons: After about a month 3 of my ports no longer work... at all. Pretty upsetting. Wouldn't recommend if you need all those ports like I do.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: With 7 USB3 ports plus 2 charging ports (1A and 2.1A), this makes an ideal hub for those lacking one, say at the monitor. I do some video editing and I have an HD camcorder, a digital camera and an HD webcam and only 2 USB3 ports on the front of my tower PC, one of which is usually occupied with an external backup hard drive that I use for transferring files to other machines. So with this hub plugged into the back of the machine with a USB extension cable, I have 7 more ports available.

The 2 charging ports are great for a quick recharge on my phone and tablet, although not being able to transfer data means I have to plug them into one of the active ports afterwards.

This hub is about 2/3rds the width of the older version that had one charging port, and the ports are on the top instead of arranged along both sides on the older one. It also has indicator lights next to each port so that you can verify the connection is working.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: While a 4-ft USB cable would be handy instead of the supplied 3-footer, I would still need an extension cable for my setup, so not really an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsA perfect companion for anyone in need of a large number of USB ports and ability to charge your mobile device.

Pros: Provides 7 USB 3.0 ports plus (1) 1A and (1) 2.1A charging ports

Cons: Dedicated charging ports do not support data transfer as well.

Other Thoughts: When I'm not using my iPad, my home PC is a laptop computer with a total of three USB ports, one of which can be flaky at times, so needless to say, my USB connections are at a premium.

Before getting the HooToo® HT-UH010, I had an external keyboard plugged into one USB port, a Blue microphone for podcasting in the second and the third was taken up by an external USB hard drive. Unfortunately, this often meant that whenever I wanted to connect (or charge) my iOS devices, plug in a thumb drive to copy off a file, or my remote control to program, something needed to be unplugged.

Now with this hub, I have more USB ports than I know what to do with (seven to be exact). Plus I have two dedicated charging ports for my iPhone, iPad or wirelss game pad and I no longer have to depend on my laptop for charging my mobile devices. I always have quick and easy access to power whenever I need it, with no shuffling of cables.

I can have all of my USB devices (external drives, keyboard, mouse, printer, microphone and more) connected at full USB 3.0 speed (though my laptop is old enough that it only supports USB 2.0). However, if I were to connect two USB 3.0 devices to the HUB's data ports, it allows for quick v3.0 speeds for transfers of data between these devices.

I've been using the HT-UH010 for nearly two weeks now and I haven't noticed any delays or issues with any of the USB devices I've attached to my laptop through the hub. My iPhone and iPad charge in the same amount of time as their standard power bricks. Actually, if I use the 2.1A port to charge my iPhone I'm seeing slightly faster charge times.

The hub was dead simple to hook up, I just plugged one end into a wall socket and the other end into the laptop and I was good to go on my Windows 7 PC. Any devices I plugged into the HUB were instantly recognized by the laptop, and drivers were automatically installed if necessary.

If I had to nitpick about one thing, I guess it would be that the two charging ports don't also support data transfer and the 7 data ports don't support charging. That means when it comes time to connect my iOS devices to my laptop to sync or transfer data, I need to move the cables from the charging ports to two of the data USB ports. Though with seven USB 3.0 data ports available, it hasn't been a problem and it really is just a minor inconvenience.

The hub is not meant to be a place to charge 5 mobile devices at the same time ( i have another device for that). Instead it is a perfect companion for a home office (or office office) where a large number of USB devices are used on a single PC. The added benefit of the dedicated charging ports mean you'll ALWAYS have a place to juice up your phone and/or tablet from the same hub. It is small enough to travel with, and will easily fit in the laptop bag of any road warrior.

In the interest of full disclosure, I want to note that I was sent a sample unit by the manufacturer in exchange honest re

5 out of 5 eggsEasy USB Management

Pros: Easy to use
No Power Cable Needed

Cons: To big for travel

Other Thoughts: This is a amazing device. I have 3 USB Ports on my Laptop but this allows me to work with 7 at the same time. Also allows me to share data between the devices. I have a 500GB External Hard Drive, Web Camera, and Wireless Mouse all hooked up to mine 24/7 and have had no issues. I also enjoy the 2 ports for charging at the bottom. This allows me to hook my smart phone up to charge, and also I have a battery charger kit that I use for the wireless mouse that allows me to keep the battery's charged at all times.

While I have enojoyed this I will say that my only issues have to deal with the size. This hub is a little bigger than what I would want it to be, and know that it does require 1 USB port and 1 Cable to be used for powering the hub. This may be an issue to some but I have this at my computer station. This isn't something that can be use on the go which is what I would have liked.

Overall this is a great product and I am really happy with the device.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well and has great usefulness especially since it can use the speed and power of usb 3

Pros: Excellent Build quality
Long power wire
LED indicator when devices are connected next to each port
Able to charge phones and tablets
USB ports separated enough to allow fatter usb wires some wiggle room

Cons: Slightly longer (maybe a full 4 foot usb 3 cable) could have been included

Other Thoughts: I was able to receive this product from the company to test and review it. I am running windows 7 and the usb 3 hub was picked up and installed quickly. The build quality is great. The power adapter is long and gives plenty of room however the usb 3 data cable to connect it to the computer could be longer. Both cords however are of great quality and seem sturdy. I connected both my phone and tablet to the charging ports of the device and they charge no problem. The key thing with any hub especially a usb 3 hub is speed which I must say is amazing with this hub. In benchmarks the hub performed only slightly worse than having it directly connected (160mb/s average vs 156mb/s average) and the true test was transferring a 4 gb file from my solid state drive to my usb 3 drive. I must say I was pleasantly surprised to see these benchmarks work in real life. With the hub my average speed was 155mb/s and without it varied from 155-160mb/s a truly outstanding performance! I have recently used several hubs (first usb 3 however) and can say it sometimes it pays to get a quality hub. One of the cheap ones burnt out on my a few days after owning it and this one seems it will last a long time. This hub will definitely come in handy since my usb 3 ports are only in the back of my pc which is a pain to access on a daily basis.
