The Infinity 62.9i 6.5" two-way speakers feature 225 Watts of maximum power, a Plus One woven glass-fiber cone woofer, MMD dome tweeters, True Four Ohms compensation, a Unipivot tweeter, an Intermount III mounting system, an outboard crossover, and adjustable tweeter level. The patent pending Plus One woofer cone technology provides more surface ares than other speakers of the same size, resulting in increased bass output and higher efficiency. The Edge-driven Metal Matrix Diaphragm (MMD) dome tweeters are like those found in high-end home audio speakers. They provide for better sonic integration with the mid-woofer, and they increase overall power handling. a Unipivot rotating tweeter allows the soundstage to be brought up to the listener's location, ensuring proper sound imaging. The Intermount mounting system allows these speakers to be mounted in standard 6.5" openings so you do not have to purchase additional kits or adapters.
You can feel comfortable running the Infinity 62.9i speakers on any head unit because the impedance of Kappa speakers has been adjusted to a True Four Ohms, which compensates for impedance increases seen in some vehicles. The woven glass-fiber woofer cone material minimizes cone flex which provides low distortion and improved clarity. A computer-optimized voice-matched outboard passive crossover provides incredible performance, with superior detail and accuracy. And it features a user-adjustable tweeter level control. Experience the difference with the Infinity 62.9i 6.5" 225 Watt two-way speakers!

This review is from: Infinity Kappa 62.9i 6.5" 225 Watt 2-Way Car Speakers
Pros: sounded good when they worked
Cons: The dome tweeter on all four of my speakers has worked its way loose and is preventing the woofer from sliding around it. Once a week I have to push it back in on all 4.
