Pros: 4K resolution. the stand is OK - not as bad as some report but it does need a bit more adjustment range.

Cons: After only 30 days, this monitor has the same color and color correction of a 5 year old Lenovo at my office. The LED backlignt is more yellow every day. Contrast is terrrible. There is no white or black. Pale yellow or dark gray is the span of adjustment available. I purchased this thing on 28 Feb and delayed too long to return. Monitor was manufactured on May 2014. It was 10 months old when shipped.

Other Thoughts: Wait for a real Korean Samsung panel with the color quality available on a Samsung 4K televisions - don't by this cheap Tianjin made economy special.

Cons: I unfortunately only had it for less then an hour.......... I received the monitor on March 25 and had to RMA back the same day. I put the monitor together and first thing i noticed was that the monitor was crooked.......the left side of the screen was facing more outwards than the right . Ok not really a problem there i can just position it just that you would be able to tell cause the stand would not be symmetrical. But the biggest problem was that the left side also was crooked that it was higher than the left side lol. So not only was it crooked facing me but also crooked left and right. There is not i could of done to really adjust for the way the stand is. Maybe i was just unlucky and got one with a bad stand.

Other Thoughts: Newegg super fast with RMA so im expecting my replacement monitor sometime this week. Cross fingers hope this one comes with a good stand lol

Pros: Price, when I bought this it was (maybe still is) on sale for 550. For what you're getting, that is an absolute steal. It's full 4k, none of that somewhere-between-1080p-and-2160p stuff. There is not a single dead or bright pixel. Even if there was, it would be exceedingly hard to tell since the pixels are so small, especially for a 28" screen.

Cons: I wouldn't call this a con, but i would love it if the refresh rate was higher than 60hz, but with this generation of graphics cards, most games are going to top out around 60fps anyway. Unless you have some high end cards in SLI or Crossfire... but not all games support those, and not all that do, do it well.

also, not much of a con, but not all applications are optimized for 4k, which leads to some REALLY tiny text.

Other Thoughts: I would definitely buy again. Playing modern games at 4k with ultra settings is a face melting experience. Console gamers don't know what they're missing.... (even if it is super expensive for high end gaming)

Pros: I cannot start to explain to you how amazing gaming on 4k is... but let me try. After playing Arma 3, Farcry 4, Shadow of Mordor, Crysis 3, Metro: Last Light, and Tomb Raider all in 4k there is only one word that comes to mind. BEAUTIFUL! it is ridiculous how amazing the difference is going from 1080p. I kept switching the resolution while in game from 4k to 1080p and back, this is how I explain my experience..."I was playing on this?!?!". I have one sentence of advice for whoever may be looking at this.

IF 4K IS EVEN REMOTELY A POSSIBILITY FOR YOU TO BUY, DO IT! Spend more on this monitor and reap the awesomeness

I would have paid double this price now that I know how great this monitor is!

Now you do need a pretty powerful PC to take full advantage of this monitor. 4k on ultra graphics. here is my pc setup to help guide you on if you can run this.

Processor: Intel i7 4790k 4th gen (water cooled and OC'd to 4.5ghz)
Graphics: 2 x Asus Strix GTX 970 in two way SLI (OC'd to 1400mhz

I run everything at 4k resolution and with max graphics, when everything is not overclocked I get around 40fps and a much colder system. with overclocks active it pushes out the max fps of the monitor which is 60fps and every once in a while dipping to 40-50 for a couple seconds. Keep in mind that if you are overclocking your system becomes MUCH hotter, I had to actually change my tower to a full tower to increase the airflow within my case, works great now but pumps out a lot of hot air.

Cons: now as you can see I still gave this a 5 egg rating, however there are a few things that happen that I just get past. The blacks aren't as black as my other monitors (2x asus 27' 1080p) and when you have a dark scene, which happens a lot in games, there is a bit of light leaking up into the darkness from the bezel. This is hard to explain but easy to get past.

Pros: This is the best monitor I have ever owned. The picture is bright and clear and I don't even have it set for its highest resolution, of course have a good video card helps out too.

Cons: None at this time

Pros: - outstanding picture quality
- works well for being 1 of the first affordable 4k monitors

Cons: - Poor maneuverability. You can't tilt it or raise it. That seems like an easy thing for them to be able to implement
- For some reason, the monitor would periodically flash black for a split second. This may have been the monitor, the display port cable. However, once I switched to a different 4k monitor this problem went away, so it was definitely related to one of those two things.
- This is minor, but the little joy-stick like button on the back is annoying. I couldn't seem to ever be able to turn the monitor fully off. Some may like it, I wasn't a big fan.

Other Thoughts: The major thing I have to say about this monitor though is that if you plan on doing 4k Gaming, I highly, highly, highly recommend you get a g-sync monitor. I purchased this for gaming and I had well-enough hardware to drive it, however I just was not lucky enough to have a setup without stuttering or other issues. Do yourself a favor if you are going for a gaming monitor, get a gsync monitor. Your eyes and gpu will thank you later. The one thing it beats current gsync monitors at is picture quality. Samsung seems to have that down.

Please know that this monitor does indeed tilt. It has a tilt range of -1° to +15°, as listed in the User Manual.

Place the monitor on a flat sturdy surface, hold the base down firmly with one hand, grasp the top center of the bezel with your other hand and push firmly and gently back. This should tilt the monitor screen back. To tilt the monitor down, just push the bottom of the bezel gently and firmly back while pulling the top of the bezel towards you.

Pros: Excellent sharpness and color. Price! Text looks pretty awesome.

Cons: Some backlight bleed-through is noticeable when screen is very dark/black.

Other Thoughts: I too noticed the mouse ghosting some other reviews mentioned. Switching the response time from Fastest to Faster solved this issue completely.

I will soon be purchasing a second one.

If you plan to game at 4K, you should consider a higher end SLI/Crossfire setup. I get 55-60 FPS with medium settings in DragonAge III with 2x GTX-780's. Modded Skyrim with ENB at 4K is unplayable on my system.

Pros: Perhaps I was a bit harsh in the previous review. Monitor is quite nice at both:
3840x2160 60 Hz attached to an AMD Firepro w2100k, and 2560x1440 60 Hz as an extended desktop on a Lenovo T530.
Would probably recommend this over an IPS QHD monitor if price was close even for a QHD non-4K video card. It looks good at non-native resolution, even down to 1920x1080. Although I'm not sure how this is calculated but with 157 dpi it is a Retina display at <2 feet viewing distance - wonderful. I need a magnifying lens to see pixels.

Cons: Backlight is a bit uneven depending upon angle of view on the TN panel but no real complaint. Works fine for one or two people but likely would loose brightness to most of a crowd gathered around the screen. Samsung setup firmware setup includes a strange angle of view adjustment which I did not use.

Other Thoughts: While 16x9 has become a standard, 16x10 is so much better for business and use other than games and movies. That is the only real disappointment with this Samsung monitor. The early large samsung monitor panels were 1920x1200 - this one should be 3840x2400!

Pros: Very crisp and clear picture. Easy to install.

Cons: Stand was flimsy. This is a con, but a con on me. But the resolution gave me a headache. Don't know why, but after staring at the screen for a hour, major headache. Tried it again and same thing!

The font was very small at max resolution, which is changeable. But most users will not know this and should be warned (or instructed)

Pros: Very sharp. Pixels are invisible compared to Dell 1920x1200 replaced. Color on the Samsung adjusted and OK. With text, cursor, and icon sizes adjusted everything is super-readable and very sharp. Stand is OK. No heat from the Samsung compared to older fluorescent lit monitor.

Cons: No Vesa mount. Blue pilot light? - Unlike previous Samsungs the blue light is on when the monitor is off which complicated setup! My ignorance, but the change cost an hour trying to make the monitor work.
Loss of area - going to 16x9 screen from 16x10 is a bit disappointing. If you have a older high quality 28-30 inch 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 or a 2560x1600, this monitor may not be worth the additional investment. A 32 inch monitor or TV could be a better choice.

Other Thoughts: Replacing really nice Dell 2707 28" corner to corner which displays 1920x1200. Wish the Samsung could do 3840x2400. The 6 year old fluorescent lit Dell is a bit brighter but gets so hot that often stinks of cooked electronics - the Samsung is a real improvement.
Color is good but could not make the Samsung align nicely with the old Dell. They do not look look nice side by side.
I am using the Samsung with an Asus P8H67. Bought a low budget AMD W2100 video card to get 4K video. The 2nd gen Intel Sandy Bridge board does up to 2048x1600. Using Windows 10 - far better than 8.1.
