5 out of 5 eggsGood so far

Pros: 1440p resolution, overclockability, decent input lag, and decent colors make for a great find for the price. It shipped within two days and arrived in perfect condition without any dead pixels. I've been using it for gaming (Mount and Blade, Far Cry 4, EYE Divine Cybermancy, Mirror's Edge) and so far it has been performing admirably.

Cons: Terrible stand and a bit of backlight bleed, as well as significant motion blur (but that might not be the fault of the monitor). The plug adapter it came with is terrible and keeps slipping out, so you'd do well to find a better adapter or just scavenge the cable from an old fax machine or something.

Other Thoughts: If this continues to operate as perfectly as it has been so far, I'll probably get a dedicated gaming monitor in a few years and run a two-screen setup. For now though it's great, and I recommend it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat QHD display for the Price

Pros: I bought this monitor just over a year ago and so far have had zero problems with it. I use it mainly for gaming and watching videos and the colors and textures seem to be good and there has been no burn in on the screen. Plus the screen area and clarity of a 27" QHD versus a 23" 1080P monitory is amazing.

Bottom line, if you are a gamer that wants to play in QHD but doesn't want to spend 1000+ for an ultrasharp you cant go wrong with one of these displays.

Cons: Bezel is Meh. But i knew that when I bought it

5 out of 5 eggsLoving it

Pros: No dead pixels, seller put it in the air quite quickly. If you're west coast expect a quick arrival. Going from 1080 to 2k is amazing. Response times seem quite good while gaming.

Cons: Stock monitor stand is flimsy. Might be a pro if you are demonstrating momentum or something but a con in my book. On the other hand it is budget priced so I'm not docking an egg. It sits up just fine unless people are jumping around nearby.

Other Thoughts: I am glad they went cheap on the stand because the picture is glorious. I would hold it up with my hands if I had to.

5 out of 5 eggsQnix

Pros: Beautiful screen and great performance. This monitor will ruin you for others. When I pull up a picture the detail is so much higher than my secondary monitor.

Cons: DVI-D ONLY! I used a high end DVI-D cable from another site because the one that came with the monitor was a bit short.
If you choose to wall mount this monitor you can. BUT it will not be for the faint of heart. You will have to dis-assemble the bezel to remove the stand. (or you can be like one of my clients and cut it off!)
**Makes a standard monitor look awful side by side. Res will not match so you will have to pay attention when going from shared desktops**

Other Thoughts: This is a great monitor that most do not know about. I have sat it next to a Samsung and the picture is identical. Its just beautiful. Big thing also: Your games will have some issues running at full resolution on this monitor. I know a 4 gig Geforce 770 gets toasty running for a while.

4 out of 5 eggsIncredible PLS Panel For a Low Price

Pros: Beautiful 27" Samsung PLS display with excellent color representation.

Deep blacks and pure whites.

Perfect for graphic design and/or video editing.

Very high resolution, 108 pixels per inch!!

Overclocks nicely to 90-96Hz, so you aren't stuck with a jittery 60Hz refresh rate.

Fast international shipping!

Turns on in less than 2 seconds.

Cons: This is a high-end panel surrounded by cheap plastic with a pitiful stand.

The power button is the only button with a function. The other 4 don't do anything.

It has built-in speakers for some reason.

Coming from a 1ms 144hz Asus monitor, this monitor has noticeable input lag when playing FPS games.

I like to think that I have very keen eye, but I really don't see a difference between 1080p and 1440p in most games. Yes, text and the HUD look a lot clearer in game, but the actual graphics don't look much different to me.

Other Thoughts: The description clearly states that you could receive a monitor with 3-5 dead pixels. Mine has one dead pixel, but the resolution is so high that I need to TRY to find it in order to actually see it.

You need to remove 4 screws and pop open the black bevel edge in order to access the internals. Using a metal tool to pop it open will damage the plastic.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Screen

Pros: Took a risk getting this, since it comes from Korea, but the reviews convinced me, and I'm glad they did!
After order got the screen in 4 days!!! From Korea!!
Screen is HUGE.
Price is cheap.
Display quality is excellent.

Cons: 3 cons.
Mounted the screen, but some screws would not go in all the way. Tried to take the screw that went in all the way out, and the socket that it screws onto starts screwing with it... now cant get screen off mount.
The speakers aren't good.
There is no HDMI, only DVI.

Other Thoughts: The cons are not a deal breaker though.
For the price, you can't get better.

5 out of 5 eggsGeat monitors

Pros: large 1440p screen

Cons: The threaded part of the base was stripped right out of the box.

Other Thoughts: This is my second time buying one of these monitors. I raged and slammed my headphones off of the screen of the last one....bad idea....I'll keep it around for a while for spare parts.

Any $200 card should be able to push this monitor decently for gaming.I have mine overclocked to 96fps and I use an R9 280. It has no problems keeping 60 fps or higher in the titles that I care to play - like World of Warcraft, Warframe, and Trine 2. Most modern triple A games will require a much better card, though.

The last monitor was flawless, but this one gave me a couple of problems. First of all, the first two threads of the stand were stripped from the factory. Not sure what was up there, but it was extremely hard to get everything just right and get some thread engagement. I thought I was going to have to transfer over the stand from the other monitor.

The second issue was that the monitor got stuck in a test loop when I first plugged it up. Nothing I could try fixed it, and eventually the screen just went white and I could see all of the LEDS and some other circuitry actually appearing through the screen as grey lines. I thought for sure I got a defective monitor, but I switched DVI cables and luckily that fixed the issue. You can really see some imperfections on the screen when its nothing but white light. It takes a little while for your eyes to adjust, but its really astonishing the blemishes and defects in the panel which don't show up otherwise.

4 out of 5 eggs1440p on a budget but effective.

Pros: 2560x1440p, unlocks to 100-120hz
Lots of screen real estate!
Movies, and Games look amazing.
Makes my friends jealous

Cons: Bright, white dime shaped spot that is a manufacture defect on the LCD screen, very annoying at times but the pain of shipping and being down makes me unable to return this.
HZ unlock method break video playback on websites, good thing I didn't buy this to look at websites in 1440p 120hz.
Possible dead pixel chance
Stand could be a tad more sturdy.

Other Thoughts: I have Newegg Premier support, I wish they could send me a replacement and I send the manufacture defect monitor back so I would not have any down time.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Monitor I've Ever Had the Pleasure of Owning

Pros: Purchased Sept. 2013.
This price point allowed me to dump my extra budget into a 7990.

+ Amazing value.
+ Response time has been great.
+ Great customer support. Answered my questions promptly and effectively.

Cons: Nit-picks.
- non-maneuverable base
- non-mountable without minor modifications
- 1 stuck pixel (took me 4 months to see the bugger, and I lose track of it all of the time.)

Other Thoughts: Debating whether or not to get an additional two of these in the near future, would definitely consider QNIX as the only 1440p brand I'd buy at the moment.
