5 out of 5 eggsGeat monitors

Pros: large 1440p screen
price
overclockable

Cons: The threaded part of the base was stripped right out of the box.

Other Thoughts: This is my second time buying one of these monitors. I raged and slammed my headphones off of the screen of the last one....bad idea....I'll keep it around for a while for spare parts.

Any $200 card should be able to push this monitor decently for gaming.I have mine overclocked to 96fps and I use an R9 280. It has no problems keeping 60 fps or higher in the titles that I care to play - like World of Warcraft, Warframe, and Trine 2. Most modern triple A games will require a much better card, though.

The last monitor was flawless, but this one gave me a couple of problems. First of all, the first two threads of the stand were stripped from the factory. Not sure what was up there, but it was extremely hard to get everything just right and get some thread engagement. I thought I was going to have to transfer over the stand from the other monitor.

The second issue was that the monitor got stuck in a test loop when I first plugged it up. Nothing I could try fixed it, and eventually the screen just went white and I could see all of the LEDS and some other circuitry actually appearing through the screen as grey lines. I thought for sure I got a defective monitor, but I switched DVI cables and luckily that fixed the issue. You can really see some imperfections on the screen when its nothing but white light. It takes a little while for your eyes to adjust, but its really astonishing the blemishes and defects in the panel which don't show up otherwise.

4 out of 5 eggs1440p on a budget but effective.

Pros: 2560x1440p, unlocks to 100-120hz
Lots of screen real estate!
Movies, and Games look amazing.
Makes my friends jealous

Cons: Bright, white dime shaped spot that is a manufacture defect on the LCD screen, very annoying at times but the pain of shipping and being down makes me unable to return this.
HZ unlock method break video playback on websites, good thing I didn't buy this to look at websites in 1440p 120hz.
Possible dead pixel chance
Stand could be a tad more sturdy.

Other Thoughts: I have Newegg Premier support, I wish they could send me a replacement and I send the manufacture defect monitor back so I would not have any down time.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Monitor I've Ever Had the Pleasure of Owning

Pros: Purchased Sept. 2013.
This price point allowed me to dump my extra budget into a 7990.

+ Amazing value.
+ Response time has been great.
+ Great customer support. Answered my questions promptly and effectively.

Cons: Nit-picks.
- non-maneuverable base
- non-mountable without minor modifications
- 1 stuck pixel (took me 4 months to see the bugger, and I lose track of it all of the time.)

Other Thoughts: Debating whether or not to get an additional two of these in the near future, would definitely consider QNIX as the only 1440p brand I'd buy at the moment.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: These monitors are great, I have ordered 3 over the last few months and not one has any dead pixels. The color is good, and the price is very good.

Cons: They do feel rather cheap though, the stand is a bit wobbly as others have said, and along the bottom are buttons that don't do anything, the cable seems to be an after thought, all three monitors came with different cables, the first one came with a standard cable, the second came with a standard Korean cable, and the third monitor came with a Korean cable with a "travel adapter" stuck on the end.

but the display itself more than makes up for it, and the price is almost unbeatable.

Other Thoughts: All in all a great monitor, I look forward to buying more in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsGood pixel per dollar

Pros: Very good picture; no dead pixels that I have found yet.

Cons: As others have noted, in order to use a VESA mount, the monitor stand has to be removed, which involves taking the entire monitor apart, which is tedious and a bit nerve wracking.

Also, I was initially concerned that the monitor was not functioning correctly; if you don't supply it with the appropriate resolution, the monitor does not work at all.

Other Thoughts: I purchased a new GTX750 NVidia card to drive this monitor, adding it to a build that previously relied upon onboard graphics. The new video card is surprisingly quiet and cool. I am now wondering if I can drive two of these monitors with the card. It has 2 DVI outputs, but I don't know if the card will support it. Any comments on this question would be appreciated.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect

Pros: Nice screen, sharp colors, light weight.

Cons: On dead pixel (BDP). For me that is not a big deal since it is in the lower right hand corner and I use it for coding.

Other Thoughts: It arrived in 2 days even though I selected 7 day shipping.
