4 out of 5 eggs11 months strong

Pros: Bought it from a Korean seller on fleaBay. Paid $705 back then, so the prices on these don't seem to fluctuate too much. Have had it for 11 months, game on it daily with my PC (dual MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G in SLI), and it looks as good as the day I bought it. Put it on a large pole display stand; it's on the heavy side. Very bright. Haven't fiddled with the OSD menu. Comes with a credit-card-sized remote to change inputs; has dual DVI, displayport (which I use), and HDMI (who would use 1080p HDMI on a monitor that can do 2650x1600?...though I do connect my PS4 to it at times, and it looks good). The ports are a bit of a pain to access, but everything is solid. There are various color profiles out there for it, but I found it to be fine out of the box for gaming. For some dumb reason, there's a great big lighted letter "C" on the backside of the monitor (it changes color when on or off!) and it incidentally generates a lot of light in a dark room, but whatever. It's a lot of pay for a monitor, and I can;t compare it to any of th more expensive Dell of HP models of the same resolution, but I've been happy with it. Tons of real estate.

Cons: Over the last 3 months, it has developed an issue (which has so far amounted to nothing): Occasionally (so only sometimes at random), the blue "on" indicator light on the front panel will blink, and the the screen is dark even though the computer is on. Only happens from a cold boot. Turning the monitor on and off does nothing (it continues to just blink)--it seems as if the monitor is not recognizing that a video signal is going to it. Rebooting the computer fixes it every time, so....

Other Thoughts: If these were $200 cheaper, I'd have more than one.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Monitor

Pros: None

Cons: Korean OSD
Continuously turns off

Other Thoughts: Do NOT buy this monitor. For the price, you have much better options out there.

I bought this monitor through one of our vendors because it was one of the few 30" monitors that has HDMI 1.4. My Razer Pro laptop only supports HDMI, so I had limited options. The monitor can go 2560 x 1600 but is laggy with slow refresh rates. Also, the monitor just turns off on me about 10 times a day. I'm trying to get it returned through our vendor (maybe mine is just defective?). I just wanted to write this review to warn people that this is not a good choice if you plan to buy a 30" monitor. Look elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsFinally a 2560x1600 30" for under $1k

Pros: P R I C E
Bright as the sun.
More real-estate than you know what to do with.

Cons: Menu system does not like to work, but once you set it, does it really matter?
Annoying blue light on the back that can not be shut off.
If your a gamer and are planning to up your rez to 2560x1600 better think about upping your video card power

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent uniformity and resolution

Cons: Gets stuck in Korean if you accidentally press the default button. No way to get back to English unless you speak Korean. No sound, but who cares?
