5 out of 5 eggsGrear Screen.

Pros: The monitor has great color as in IPS panel should. It's response time and refresh rate are also pluses at this size. No backlight bleeding around the edges of my panel.

Cons: None. Wish it would have come with a display port cable though.

5 out of 5 eggsI have two!

Pros: - Enormous. Seriously. Gigantic monitors.
- Very clear and bright. I use them for coding, and the text is very clear.
- Great for gaming. I haven't seen any serious ghosting or anything else to complain about.
- Ability to split the screen between two different inputs, allowing you to see both at once.

Cons: - Not a huge fan of the OSD interface, bu not a big deal.
- Do set up your picture settings properly in the menus. I find the "Photo" setting to be the cleanest and best quality. Some of the settings look terrible.
- I wish LG would release a color profile for these monitors for Mac. If there is one, I haven't been able to find it. Not a big deal for me, but it is for my photographer wife.

Other Thoughts: Couple issues for Linux and Mac that aren't the monitor's fault:

- Using an nVidia card on Linux, I had to use the proprietary nVidia drivers. Nouveau doesn't understand the 21:9 aspect ratio, and won't properly set the resolution. Works right away with the nVidia drivers.

- Macs seem to have a hard time with them. It's not the monitor, it's something with MacOS. The video displays at the correct resolution, but the anti-aliasing for the text doesn't work. The text winds up looking very jagged. I've seen this before with HP monitors as well with Mac.

SOLUTION:

TL;DR: Make sure you use the DisplayPort input for Macs or your text will look terrible. Just get a mini-displayport to DisplayPort cable here on NewEgg and you should be fine.

It turns out that the type of cable makes a difference for Macs. I can't imagine why, but it does. I was using an HDMI cable on my Linux box to drive one of these, and it looked great, fonts included. However, it turned out using HDMI (via mini-displayport to HDMI cable) for the Mac was actually causing the anti-aliasing problem. I eventually got a mini-displayport to displayport cable and the text looks great!

5 out of 5 eggsBeyond Amazing

Pros: It's so big!
Crystal Clear!
2k Resolution!
Easy to put together!
To open the monitor settings you use a dial nob thingy, its so much better than standard buttons.

Cons: The stand doesn't rotate or go down, witch is kinda annoying but nothing to serious.

Other Thoughts: I love this screen so much, its way bigger than I thought. It's crisp and clear and easy to set up.

5 out of 5 eggs4 days early!

Pros: I'll update this after my one year mark but I had to mention I got 4-7 super saver and got it on the 3rd day. What a surprise that was. Can't wait to get this bad boy set up. All the reviews were pretty great so I don't think I'll have any issues. Only thing is I may regret not going with 144hz 1ms.

Cons: Nothing yet will update though.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a big monitor and wanna save a little if you don't mind a couple less bells and whistles.. This may be the way to go. Then again. 27" is plenty big and there a couple floating around for less than the 440$ price tag this carries.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: I love having USB connections rather than VGA.

Cons: The toggle switch is too small and too sensitive. Just to change inputs is a challenge with several steps. There needs to be a separate one-touch switch for this. The 29 inch monitor is much better in this regard.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Compromise For Those Wanting an Ultra-Wide Monitor But Also Game

Pros: - As the title says, I wanted a compromise between having an ultra-wide monitor, but not wanting to have to buy the workhorse needed to run 4K resolutions in games, and the [relatively] high response times and low refresh rates that come with them. Ultra-wide gaming typically is very demanding, but not with this unit.
- So far I'm not disappointed, and I'm able to enjoy all this screen real-estate, and can run games at 75Hz through DAS, which is great.

Cons: - I need a bigger desk.

Other Thoughts: - Do yourself a favor and buy a DisplayPort cable along with this. It doesn't come with one, and they're surprisingly hard to find [cheaply] in stores.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Impressed....

Pros: Liked the look of this monitor & purchased it just before Thanksgiving---was in my hands by the next Wed (great free shipping)....Opened the box & WOW this thing is HUGE...I play Star Conflict on Steam & the added vision is very well worth the cost.

Cons: No Cons that I can think of other than why did they include a HDMI cable when it won't work with Freesync (needs a Display Port cable) I use nVidia, so that is not bothering me--The monitor supports DVI-D, so I'm happy.

Other Thoughts: I really recommend this to anyone--I was told once you use a Ultra-Wide--You'll never go back to a "normal" monitor & I REALLY can see why.. Using a normal monitor is almost painful now......
