1 out of 5 eggsStarted ok, Then Failed Intensely

Pros: Interface is fairly simple
Decent number of options
Decent Sound
Not bad considering the price

Cons: VERY Slow start up
If you aren't tech savy and you are looking for more than a basic mp3 player or video player, this is NOT a good Choice.
The battery failed to charge after a couple of months.
I tried calling tech support and one day, the operator just hung up several times. (He started answering, then laughing and then just hung up.)

Other Thoughts: Again, when it worked, it wasn't bad for the cost, but it did take a while to load and program, both games as well as other software. I'm trying to have a good attitude, but I am quite frustrated and irritated by this particular product.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat Potential, But Poor Hardware Brings It Down

Pros: -Decent price
-Has as much power as any cheap(er) tablet on the market
-Small form factor
-Good camera
-Good touch screen
-Expandable storage

Cons: - Feels a bit cheap
- Poor sound from speakers
- Operating system is unstable
- Missing hardware features drastically bring the experience down (No bluetooth, no microphone, etc)
-Bad side buttons
-Screen is a bit blurry and slow moving.
-LONG start-up time

Other Thoughts: I was in the market for a cheap wifi-only tablet to carry around with me. I saw this item in a local shop. This item caught my eye due to it's small form factor (especially when compared to other tablets of the same hardware specs) and it's low price. I figured I'd give it a try.

I charged it up and started playing around with it. I expected it to feel pretty cheap considering it's price; it felt stable enough that I wasn't worrying about it breaking in my hands. The touch screen was actually pretty decent and I was able to literally flick through the menu with relative ease, albeit the motions are still noticeably jerky. The screen is also noticeably more pixilated than the box cover would let one believe; of course I expected as much with a device as cheap as this. The screen also auto-rotates just fine.

Internet browsing with this device is a pretty decent experience; it's a bit slow, but works well enough for a mobile device. The Wi-fi signal strength however, isn't very powerful; you'll need to be just a bit more closer to the connection source. Video playback works well enough, either with the YouTube app or any of the compatible formats that you download directly too it. Other apps work fine as well.

The device has a decent camera on the back of it (3.1 MP)and takes good pictures and video, but has limited options.

I really wanted to like this device, but there are some BIG missing features and some present features that keep it from being good. One of them is the lack of a microphone for voice commands. For some people, that might not be a problem, but since the OS installed has an option for a microphone, without one installed, it just makes the OS more useless as does the use of any apps that use or require voice commands. Lack of Bluetooth connectivity is another issue; not being able to connect anything like headsets, controllers for games, or any like devices once again severely limits the device. The back speaker is also very quiet; I tried playing a movie at full volume and could barely hear it. Music playback through the speaker was also relatively quiet, which makes headphones the only real option. The side buttons are poorly positioned and feel very poor when pressing them. The biggest issue I had with this device, however, is the instability of the operating system (The device came installed with Android 4.0.3). After an hour into my use of this device I started getting errors and the bottom menu buttons became non-existent and I was forced to reset the device.

This device isn't terrible, but there's so much holding it back from being good. I would happily buy a tablet with this kind of "ultra-portability" form factor if it had better build quality and hardware features that were actually compatible with the OS. If your just looking for a really cheap android device to just "play around" with, this might fit the bill, but to a more casual consumer who just wants a device that "Just works", I suggest looking else
