5 out of 5 eggsAwesome OFFRoad lights

Pros: Great replacement for my Power hogging KC Day-lighters went from 130 Amp Draw down to 10 Amp Draw with same amount of light output and that's awesome.....

Cons: Black Paint Fades a little

Other Thoughts: Must buy

5 out of 5 eggsGreat lights

Pros: Fast shipping, great price, very bright lights.

Cons: Didn't install themselves

Other Thoughts: I bought these for our race team, I have both of them hooked up to a DeWalt 18v battery. They are brighter than the twin 300 watt halogen lights and they don't draw any power from the generator. We will be updating all the lights on the race trailer to LED's in the near future.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic workspace illumination

Pros: Using two of these to illuminate an electronics workspace. Brilliant light that makes it much less of a strain to see small components.

* Very flexible power suply, 12V to 24V. An old laptop power supply (usually 19V) is more than suitable to supply a pair of these lamps. Or they could be fed directly from a 12V line form a computer PSU.

* Can be mounted flexibly on a pair of aluminum rods

* Very reasonable power consumption (slightly less than 2.5A at 12V, but less than 1.5A at 19V per lamp)

* Low DC voltage makes the lamps relatively safe to operate (unlike 120V flood lights)

Cons: I wish they had a slightly lower color temperature. I have to supplement the illumination with incandescent background light to make it more comfortable for the eyes.

Other Thoughts: These spot lights are by no means limited to vehicles. I can envision dozens of places for spot illumniation in the house, from work places to picture highlights (although the somewhat ugly body of the lamps needs to be hidden in those cases. The only item needed is a wall transformer 12V, 2.5A or said laptop power supply. Let your imagination fly.

5 out of 5 eggsBright and efficient

Pros: Way more lumens/Watt compared with incandescent bulbs. Should have a long lifetime. Reasonable price.

Cons: The cable is a little short (<2') and the mounting bracket is poorly designed. It would be nice a couple more washers etc and a more secure mount.

Other Thoughts: Although pretty intuitive to put together, wire and mount; there may be those who would have benefit from instructions (e.g. remember polarity). But they work although the mount is not very secure and has to be tightened to prevent the unit 'wandering'. Unfortunately since part of the mount is plastic, you don't want to tighten it too much as it will probably break.

Mounted the bulbs either side of the hood on my lawn tractor - the OEM 1.8A bulbs were barely brighter than fireflies and hence pretty useless. These draw 2A each so are not putting any (significant) extra load on the alternator but do mean I can see where I'm going. As such, so far it's an excellent replacement but time will tell how long they will last - I suspect the mount will disintegrate before the LEDs.

5 out of 5 eggsNice heavy duty lights

Pros: These look great mounted on the bull bar on my pickup. I don't go much for over the top looks. These are subtle and tough looking. The lighting is great.

Cons: Somewhat short pigtail so the connections are outside the vehicle body.

5 out of 5 eggsCREE LED 27w Spot Light

Pros: These are great. I bought a second one after trying the 1st one. I use them on my skidsteer and tractor that have limited alternator output. These only draw a little more than 2 amps, with much more illumination instead of the 55w. halogen lights that I have been using. These also can withstand vibration much better than any incandescent light. Newegg sellers are great.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value / Lotta Light!

Pros: Very solid construction, Easy to install, Lots of bright white light! I purchased 3 sets (6 lights) and mounted two on my 4x4 front Gator bumper and I now can see EVERYTHING out in front. These LED lights makes my halogen OEM lights look pathetic! I also mounted 2 sets on my Kubota tractor ROPS bar. One set facing forward and one set facing backward. They light up the night and I can see what I am doing fore and aft! I used NothernTool's 40 lb magnetic light mounts to mount them on the ROPS with a pair of SAE Battery Tender splitters spliced into the leads coming out of the lights. So now I can easily unplug and detatch both sets and use them on my truck and trailer when necessary. 6 out of 6 of these lights that I purchased all worked out of the box, so Quality Control seems quite good.

Cons: Adjustment/mounting mechanism U-style bracket is smooth (no teeth) and the light housing mounting flange has notched teeth but nothing to grab onto with the smooth mating surface on the SST bracket (the brackets need to be dimpled in the mating areas). Unfortunately the light housing can be jarred out of adjustment (took a star off for that). I am going to purchase a set of 5/16 external toothed washers and see if that holds the adjustment better. By the way, these 30 degree labeled lights are NOT spot lights. There is no reflector to focus the beam. But that turns out for me to actually be an advantage for what I am using them for (close quarters maneuvering while working with tractor and 4x4 Gator). Still as a flood they manage to throw a lot of light down range.

Other Thoughts: I really can't rate the longevity of the internal electronics driving the LED's in these lights but I expect they should do fine so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: Great lumens, super price. I haven't mounted them on my truck yet but will soon.

Cons: The only thing that could be better is the mount.
