2 out of 5 eggsNot recommended

Pros: all in one unit, lots of features

Cons: Can't update the GPS maps. Unit is slow as molasses if you're doing more than one thing at a time.
I've had this unit for over a year now, and rarely use the Nav anymore. Now it has a heck of a time trying to load the Nav software, often erroring out with 'out of memory' or 'can't find nav software'.

As mentioned above, you can't even update the maps when you do get it loaded. The unit is not listed under the supported devices for the NaviExtras website and their pc software doesn't recognize the SD card as a valid device. I read elsewhere that is the case because it's being used as an unlicensed version (meaning not legit).

If you're only planning on using this device to listen to music from an SDHC card (don't try to use a micro SD with an adapter), or maybe watching a DVD for whatever reason, then it's worth the money because it is a cheap unit...however, you get what you pay for and I'm looking for a replacement as we speak.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Multimedia System

Pros: it is a great multimedia unit . Love all the different connection it can do with your media, Bluetooth, and Navigation is great. A nice EQ control and wattage to push all interior speakers despite not being a pioneer or clarion.

Cons: I don't like is it had no installation manual, but I requested it from the manufacturer

Other Thoughts: So far a good bang for the BUCK!

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate to previoius review

Pros: Price, GPS results, play music from SD or USB, hands free phone calls

Cons: Poor processing times, volume starts at level 10, Pyle customer support seems to be poor (see other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: After taking 2 trips after my first review I would give this unit 3.75 out of 5 eggs. When you get a few things running at the same time, like the GPS and the radio, you will notice the lack of processing power. While in GPS mode I would toggle back to the radio and part of the radio skin would be missing although it was still functional as long as you knew where to press. Over time it seemed to work better as it was able to load and retain the skin. I had no issues playing a CD or music from a SD card along with using the GPS. The GPS will load slower if you are playing a CD or music from a SD card or USB prior to starting the GPS but once loaded it worked fine. Please note that you will want to have a "clean" SD card or USB stick meaning just put the music files on to the device without using a folder structure and do not use a SD or USB stick with other data on it (mainly folders with data) as the unit has issues trying to process all the files and you will wait and wait and wait while nothing happens.

If you like to use turn by turn voice directions you may be disappointed as the radio tries to turn down the volume of what’s playing so you can hear the directions but it does a bad transition job between the two. I don’t use turn by turn but I did try it and it was annoying and I’ve read other reviews of people complaining about it too.

Overall I am happy with this unit and the GPS results are very satisfactory. I never used any other GPS/all in one stereo but from my research you cannot get the features this unit has for the price.

I do have to mention Pyle seems to have poor tech support. When I got them to respond to my question(s) you could hear the tone of “YOUR BOTHERING ME” and they only answered one of my three questions.

So not a bad unit and I hope it “holds” up for a few years.

5 out of 5 eggsGood features, good price

Pros: It has lots of features and its easy to navigate. Recognized my windows and android phone via bluetooth without issue. It nice to use the phone(s) hands free. The GPS is nice and it seems to be accurate. Not sure how "updated" the maps are but I was using a 7yr old GPS without issue so I'm sure this will be better.

I should note I only had this unit installed for a few days, if anything changes I will post it.

Cons: I wish the GPS would start faster. The volume is at level 10 (a little loud to start) when you fire it up and I cannot find a setting to change it. The power button stays illuminated when the car is off.

Other Thoughts: 3KingAudio, who fulfilled the order, has fantastic support as I they correct an issue I had within a few days.
