5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Better audio than previous pioneer probably due to audessy equalization in large room with lousy acoustics.

Web browser set up/zone control more useful than I expected.

Easy access to internet radio, pandora, spotify.

RUNS COOL. Much cooler than comparable pioneer. Tivo box that sits above receiver used to report 53C when amp running. Now it reads 47C all inside a fairly tight enclosed cabinet.

3 yr warranty vs 1 yr for pioneer.

Cons: Zone 2 can't play HDMI, toslink, coax audio. Have to use analog outputs from Bluray player and then buy a toslink splitter + powered RCA converter to extract analog audio from TV.

So far impossible to figure out how to configure Harmony remote for zone 2.

Web server on the Denon is functional but a bit clunky.

Other Thoughts: HDMI ports failed on 2010 vintage Pioneer AV that I wasn't really looking to replace. Now that money is spent the Denon is a big step up.

Wife likes ability to run her own zone in kitchen from her laptop browser. Never has to touch the receiver or a remote.

Btwn the USB stick in receiver, internet radio, and pandora there's a vast amount of content just a click away. May never open a CD case again.
