Pros: The sound quality is pretty good. I have this installed on an Eddie Bauer 2002 Explorer and I did not even connect the factory sub (which apparently requires some resistors to drop the 12V signal to 5V). The sound quality is good and when the "loudness" feature is engaged, it is fine for me. Note that I am not a bass-thumping out the car person. Inexpensive -- unit was $100 but all of the wiring, mounting, and steering wheel control module ran my cost up to closer to $200. Plenty of features on the unit including DVD player, 2 micro-SD slots, front and back USB, video input for a camera, and Bluetooth.

Cons: Foremost -- the unit does not keep time accurately if the RDS feature is engaged. I emailed BOSS about this and they confirmed the problem but blame it on the RDS data. Other radios seem to manage but not this one. Furthermore, the calendar day-of-the-week is off by one day. With the date set correctly, Sunday will appear as Monday. The Greeks got calendars right over 2000 years ago, but not his unit. BOSS confirmed that there is no way to reflash to fix these bugs, that is the primary reason for my low rating. Antenna reception does not seem as strong as the factory unit that this replaced.

Other Thoughts: The interface wires are pretty thin, larger than the harness that I used, maybe around 22 gauge.

I did not think that I would use the remote that came with it, but that is easier than using the touchscreen. There is a mode button that cycles through the sound modes. Mode switching seems pretty slow to me, taking 2-3 seconds for each mode.

Although the sound is find, I would not buy another one of these devices based on the poor software and inability to fix software bugs.

Pros: plays dvd really well.

Cons: doesn't show all my flashdrive mp3s. will not play mp4s, wmvs, or avis, stereo starts and shuts off when ever it wants to.

Other Thoughts: don't buy, not worth a nickle.

Pros: price is outstanding for what you are getting, so far everything has been running smooth everything worked on the first try. i love streaming my pandora on this thing it sounds great. i would buy this for all my cars if i had more :P

Cons: Mine came with a little scratch & the other comment was right with the RDS thing itll start randomly scaning stations while your listening to the radio... not sure why and it wont show my pandora info on the screen it just shows a little music symbol i think it should stream the picture like it does on your phone but i think theres some sort of problem , i havent really tried the calling or anything so i dont really have anything else to say.

Other Thoughts: wish it came with batteries and the touch screen was more sensitive and the warrenty was better.u get what u pay for.... also wont read all usb drives its random. and wont play my mp4s but plays avis so just convert w/e :P

Pros: It likes Patriot USB thumb drives.
I figured out most of my problems searching the web.
Watching a DVD movie looked great.

Cons: Online support from Boss is bad. Over a week with no response to trouble ticket.
Specs state it plays MP4, AVis. None of mine play.

Other Thoughts: I took an egg for poor tech support and another egg for poor users manual.
Overall an OK radio for the cost.

Pros: Lots of options for the price.
Didn't need the installation kit I got for it.
Plays DVD movies.

Cons: The front USB port will not read an 8GB OCZ or 8GB Corsair thumb drive.
Does not turn on when I start my truck. 03 Chevy S10.
Had the wiring checked at a radio store for above.
Had to turn off the RDS setting to change the time and keep the change.
After listening to a radio station for 1 to 2 minutes it will start seeking and eventually end up back at my selected station. Happens for strong or week signals and even while just sitting in the parking lot.
Manual is very thin, good luck.
Put in a trouble ticket. Hope it gets answered.
