Cons: As with all Boss car stereos I've purchased, all have been junk.

Other Thoughts: I've had 2 Boss stereos. The first one would quit working when it was cold outside, and this latest one won't power up.....bad power switch.
Do yourself a favor, spend a little extra and get something that works

Pros: Very easy to install, easy to see, light weight, cool operational temps.

Cons: Low power, file management is poor

Other Thoughts: If you setup your playlists specifically for this unit on the tiniest USB drive you can find then it works quite well. I installed this in a truck which is rough riding and somewhat noisy inside. It does well in that application. But don't expect Kenwood or Alpine like quality, power and features for so small a price.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: This stereo makes it extremely difficult to find a file on the sd/usb. After a few months the volume knob started to fail. It would take forever to fiddle with the knob to get it to change the volume. I recently put this stereo in the garbage can. Don't bother.

Other Thoughts: It is worth about $5.

Pros: NO CD
Has SD card and USB flash.
I wanted a low end decent "mechless" digital media player for my car to replace the 1990s tape player.
I use an 8gb sd card AND an 8gb usb micro flash disk to play music.

Sounds great, possibly better than the old tape deck.

It has a "tactile" response volume knob that works fine.
At 40 the volume is loud and clear but probally not 90db like an airplane engine.
More than adequate to overpower road noise.

Cons: I got this locally on sale for less than any online website offers.
The fake EQ bars on the screen cannot be shut off while sound is playing but it is under my passenger dashboard so I dont really care too much.
User manual is garbage mostly.
The connection plug uses 18gauge wire for everything and inline fuses on the ACC & Batt wires.

Holding down buttons for a few seconds can be irritating while driving.

Other Thoughts: I dont have an AUX capable player but im sure my friends have some kind of ipod or phone so I dont know the capability of that.
For a 30 minute ride around town or to work this unit performs everything I need it to do.

It is very light weight because there are no mechanical parts inside, it is only a circuit board, housing, face, and heatsink.


CLOCK remains set because of proper *Batt* wiring
Random continues after shutting down the unit
Volume remains at previous level or drops below 20 after restarting

I own a VW (not beetle) so the VW beetle logo in the center doesnt bother me.

Pros: It worked okay, for the the first two minutes

Cons: Shorted out within two minutes of install, RS (Since the name of the store wasn't allowed) was the place to go, and even they said "buy a name brand one, these are made too cheap"

Other Thoughts: I would rather pay 100$+ for something that actually works and isn't so poorly manufactured.
I would advise going elsewhere if you need something that lasts.
It could be a fluke, but I have no trust in this product anymore.

Pros: price.
does what I bought it for ( to play mp3 with player and flash drive

Cons: volume setting doesn't stay at the same level once its turned off. no big deal.
