MUZEE USB Dongle Plug-&-Play Entertainment Software Platform (iVD)

Pros: Super-easy to install. Easier than most gizmos. You just agree/select a couple screens that appear.
Seems non-intrusive: it does not seem to be hijacking my Win Media Player, is not asking me to update Java, has not been hijacked by Winamp, does not ask me which of many files types to associate, nothing like that.

Categories of music are easy to browse.

The music starts quickly soon after you click on that menu choice. Some stations obviously are not streaming anymore - you will know quickly if it is producing a stream or not.

Stations/streams include the set of stations provided by Digitally Imported - either thru their website or this gizmo, Digitally Imported is great.

Cons: A small negative: once your computer goes to screensaver, the application window disappears, and is not just down-sized - here is my helpful comment - the 'program' or 'application' has gone into the system tray in the group where your wireless indicator is and the USB disconnect thing is. Its icon is a little medium blue TV screen.

Other Thoughts: Reviews elsewhere (am a zon) have critics declaring that you could achieve the same by looking for internet-based music streams from your web browser, or MS Media Player.

Myself, I have never found Ms Media Player as a helpful way to find a radio stream. I have never awrmed up to RealAudio, WinAmp, etc. for content.

The value of the Muzee gizmo is it is so easy to install and hunt around for music streams by category. This would be a good gift for those who are not so intent on devoting a lot of time navigating the web and various players (winamp, MS Media player, RealAudio, etc.) and settings because of the associated hassles.

If this Muzee thing works for a long time without having to update or being marketed to subscribe, I will really like it. Otherwise, I will toss it out the door. I don't have time for those hassles and I am tired of the constant marketing harrassment any time you want to do anything with your computer.

Pros: USB....PRICE...FREE INTERNATIONAL TV & RADIO CHANNELS VIA INTERNET.

Cons: Works in MS Windows only......not Linux....Bummer

Other Thoughts: Wish it would also work in LINUX
