4 out of 5 eggsGreat if you don't use the supplied drivers

Pros: Works from at least 50 feet away with a fully charged genuine xbox 360 controller. Tested thoroughly a will have a spotty signal after 50 feet, and will totally lose signal after 60. Despite claims of losing signal easily if the controller is so much blocked from sight of the receiver, I found this to be totally wrong with the Microsoft drivers. If the controller's battery is low, it will easily lose signal and become spotty, but this is an issue with the controller, not the receiver.

Cons: Supplied drivers are just total garbage, don't use them. It will get a horrid signal and won't work correctly with the supplied drivers.

Other Thoughts: Simply use the Microsoft drivers meant for their wireless receiver, they work better and are compatible with this device. There are other reviews that tell you how to find them and install them.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap Generic

Pros: Works great! Installed it with the Microsoft drivers/software and works great. Would have spent the money for the real Microsoft product but they dont make it anymore so I had no choice. But I will not complain as it works amazingly. Shipping did take almost 3 weeks, but im not going to complain because It was cheap and did make it to me.

Cons: Generic....... I guess? I usually dont like generics.... but this one is working great so im not sure if I can say its a con haha

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic for the price

Pros: Absolutely great, does what it's supposed to and does it incredibly well.

Cons: Setting up the drivers is an enormous pain, I recommend following the steps some of the other reviewers posted about using the microsoft based drivers. If you choose to use the supplied driver (which is garbage), the device performs incredibly poorly.

Other Thoughts: When using the microsoft based drivers, a fully charged plug and play kit based (genuine) 360 controller will easily perform the same as on a 360. After testing distance with a fully charged controller, it only began to lose signal and perform badly after 25+ feet obstructed (in a totally different room on another floor). I couldn't test how much distance it could get unobstructed because the furthest distance I could get was 35 feet, with absolutely no problems with performance.

The only question is the quality and how long it'll hold up to every day use, which I can imagine it will do fine; since it doesn't really get moved if at all.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks As Advertised

Pros: * Great to have a controller dongle hooked up to each machine that I game on.
* Works as advertised.

Cons: *None

Other Thoughts: The unit comes with a cable that is way longer than I need. It is probably best to leave the twist tie that neatly bundles the excess cable on when you are unboxing it.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks, but not well

Pros: Works, cheap

Cons: Man the range on this thing is abysmal. It might as well be a wired connector, you get anything in between the controller and the receiver (even if your own body) then plan on dropping connection. This might get you by if you only game at your desk next to your pc but if you plan on sitting on a couch farther away like i do then skip this brand.

Other Thoughts: I have already purchased a different version(a Microsoft branded version) and it works a million times better and was worth the extra $10.
