5 out of 5 eggsA Fine Headset For a Budget

Pros: Clear sound
Mic is clear, not too much background noise (I have a fan blasting at high speed 24/7 to help air flow in the room)
Mic is not garbled, soft, or otherwise impossible to use
Mic folds up and out of the way easily and securely
Easily accessed volume and mute controls on the left cup
Fabric ear pads + skull pad
Comfortable for 10 hours and more
No sweaty ears! DEATH TO PLEATHER!

Cons: The cups can be too small for folks with big ears.
Adjustable size can occasionally "tick" to the next size up (I like to wear headsets tight to my head)
Mic mute can be a bit... Weird at times and not actually "mute" the mic

Other Thoughts: It has been over six months using these non-stop and heavily. From gaming, to movies, to music, to accidentally dropping them on the floor whilst the cable is snagged on the chair's arm, to having them ripped out of the PC by a cat because the cable got wrapped around its tail.

Through it all, the headset is still working and has no issue with sound clarity, mic clarity, the cable is not "touchy" requiring an interesting usage of zip ties and tape to keep it at a certain "angle" to work.
I've owned $200 headsets that die in months of normal use, while these are still going strong.

The fabric earpads are comfortable and easily kept clean with minimal effort. No sweaty ears (Death to all pleather headsets!). I wear these things for 10 hours and more a day during work and gaming.

For the price, this is a fantastic headset, and I will be picking up another set as a backup set and to have available to my backup/guest gaming rig.

5 out of 5 eggsNice headset overall

Pros: *Sits on my head comfortably

*Sound quality is good(Must be tweaked in an EQ)

*Mic quality is astounding

Cons: *The headset needs tweaking in an EQ to make everything sound right

*The mic is awkward to bend

Other Thoughts: The mic DOES bend, you just have to be a little forceful with it.

As for tweaking the headset, play some music and mess with your EQ settings until you feel it's set up right. (I'd play a game too just so you know it's not just music that sounds well)

3 out of 5 eggsUpdate from my Previous review

Pros: Still sounds better than I would imagine

Cons: Very uncomfortable, The sound adjustment button on the headset is too sensitive. The mic isn't a noise cancelling headset.

Other Thoughts: I took an egg from my previous review as I couldn't update the old one. The headset is very uncomfortable especially after a few hours. The mic picks up everything, not clearly but as a high pitched squeaking sound or is too low without mic boost.

4 out of 5 eggsFairly impressed

Pros: The sound and mic quality is impressive especially for the price. Material feels solid if that's any indication of build quality.

Cons: The comfort level isn't that great. the ear cups are a little small and the headset itself is a little tight; granted it is new and they haven't been broken in yet.

Other Thoughts: I haven't had time to properly test these but games, music and movies sound decent and that's coming from the integrated sound card. While I don't love the comfort (coming from a corsair vengeance 1500) This is a steal at $50 hopefully they hold up over time and they break in well. Will update over time if any issues occur.

5 out of 5 eggsNon-visual

Pros: This headset is very tactual, two buttons on the left headset cup and the microphone is on the same side!
The cylinder stiel button is for the volume and the microphone is the slide stile button the headset ear cups are square makes it retro looking!
The ear cups are big with nice fome ear cushions not the kind that falloff
Microphone sounds good very little white nois!
The size of this headset may be small for you folks with a big head

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsQuite good!

Pros: Sound quality is great!
Microphone is a step up from anything I've used prior
Its been through hell, I've smashed the cord in drawer accidentally many times!

Cons: for normal speech this is absolutely all you'll ever need... But for lets plays it does kinda start scratching if you start yelling... If you're doing lets plays and have the extra money... Go for a better mic, if its for just gaming in general, get it...

Other Thoughts: As I said, this is great for casual gaming, it doesn't have positional sound )5.1/7.1) but its only a 40$ headset, so its great for how much it is. But if you're into video making where your voice is involved... and you want high production value videos... I suggest you upgrade your microphone and use something different, this is a good microphone, and if nothing else, it will get you where you need to go... But for high production value you need something better. If you want to see what I mean, go to youtube and look up my nickname, then head to the metro last light section (specifically the ones that involve spiders) Then you will be able to see where the flaws in the microphone are at, Not doing this for views, I get about 1800 a month, I don't need the extra views here, this is for your benefit. Its still a great headset though,

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Quality!!

Pros: Great Sound, Great build quality, No USB, Great Microphone!

Cons: Cord could be longer but not a really big con for me.

Other Thoughts: I've owned a few different brands of headsets in the past. My last pair was Plantronics that lasted me 4 years and still work. I just wanted an upgrade. These have great quality 40mm speakers. I also use them to listen to music paired with a Asus Xonar DX. I can hear very good detail from my Lossless audio. I am very happy! :)

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: I'm no audiophile, but I do not detect any sound problems with either input or output. The volume knob is smooth and does not cause static. The headset is comfortable and the microphone boom is stiff (will not fall down from horizontal position.

Cons: The microphone mute switch is difficult to engage/disengage. I don't use it. however, because I always use push-to-talk.

Other Thoughts: My girlfriend bought these for me for $winter_holiday 2012 . I've owned them for about four months and they are nothing short of amazing. I've used several different headsets in the past and these are simply the best.

1 out of 5 eggsNo

Pros: -Easy setup
-Good mic when it works

Cons: The headset started acting funny after about a month of use (I take good care of this thing, make sure to not do anything that might damage it). It started playing buzzing sounds through the speakers whenever I played a game, and has gotten consistently worse. Sometimes I cannot hear the game over the buzzing. When I try to talk to my friends through teamspeak or skype, they claim to only hear deafening static coming from me. When I do mic tests, the mic does not pick up my voice. I have to literally YELL into the mic for it to pick up any form of noise.

Do not buy this headset.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome!!

Pros: -cheap price, especially when you consider how NICE the quality is for that price
-comfy. feels comfortable and stable over your ears.
-mic works just dandily. I dig it cause your voice on the other end is clear. and it's not one of those headsets that come with a flexible mic. just a pull down one. for some reason I like it better.
-volume control and mic on/off is located on the back of the left earpiece for easy access, I dig it.

Cons: none that I can think of
