Pros: It is, by all rights, SATA, and does use the SATA digital communication protocol.

Cons: This SSD, and others like it, does not use the physical connector that I expect when I filter my search to include SATA I, II, and III, and exclude mSATA and micro-SATA. When I filter my search results to ONLY SATA I, II, and III, I only want to see drives that use the standard internal SATA connectors for desktop and laptop drives. You cannot plug a standard SATA power or data cable into this drive.

Other Thoughts: I did not purchase this product, and this review should not reflect on the quality of this specific product. I chose this product because it was the first mSATA drive that I saw when I filtered my search (using the check-boxes on the left, not Newegg's atrocious text search) to include SATA I, II, and III, and to not include mSATA. I gave this product 3 eggs because it is a medium rating, and I wanted to affect the overall rating of this product as little as possible.

Other Thoughts: Not sure as to why I was having problems in the beginning. I reinstalled my OS probably 5 times from data corruption. then it just stopped. I have these drives on a raid 0 with write-back enabled (computer is on a battery backup) and i set up a ram drive for speed tests. And 4 in a RAID 0 is faster than a ram drive. You will have to purchase a little higher end RAID controller if you want to enable write-back on a RAID 0. A controller that has the capability of adding a battery pack to it will usually allow this. and that is the only way to truley see these things perform, the IOPS on them isn't that far off from the samsungs. I am thinking about buying a grip more of em.

Pros: Partitioned as a swap file and a separate partition for backup of seldomly used files.

Cons: none

Pros: Fast as all hell when ya get 5 of em going at once.

Cons: Throwing out bad bits on em like there is no tomorrow.
and I have a Raid that supports TRIM so it's not that.

They are of the 3.3V variety. so ya have to spend alittle more if you want to plug them into a regular sata power.

Other Thoughts: It's a shame. They are quick.
